"Corrupted group run by bad faith. They owe me 5 weeks of disability and have been caught lying already to me. They take their time, deny you and don't inform you. You have to log into the website. They asked for 1 form, then denied me and said I needed more. You did not tell me that originally. Honestly I'd call them scam artists and some good white collar criminals"
"Lincoln Financial Group uses Retirement Focus a service run by FIndley. When I was laid off, I knew finding new employment would be hard especially with the massive layoffs that were going on across the country. I requested my pension from the company I worked for, Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority CMTA-100 in March. I continued to request the forms just to be told that they were sent and that it must be an issue with the mail. I receive a dozen articles of mail a week and they seem to have no problem getting through but multiple rollover election forms from Retirement Focus was vanishing from the postal service. I finally went online and requested the information on May 11th and received the form that was dated the same day on June 11th. I faxed in the document and proof of age on June 16th. I was told that I was supposed to also enclose the direct deposit form which was not included in the mailing. I spoke to a supervisor on June 17th and was assured that a direct deposit form would be mailed to me. (Never received it) I was also told that I would receive my pension payment on August 1st. I called on August 3rd to check on the status of the payment and was told the check would be deposited on September 1st. I said you must be kidding because I was told that everything was in order and would receive the payment no later than 3-5 business days after the 1st. Then he said oh it was showing payment for August, please give it 5-8 business days which is normal to be processed. (different from what I had been previously told) I called on the 13th and was told that the check was mailed and to void it if I receive it because they were going to direct deposit it as soon as possible according to the Trust. I still have not seen the check that is supposed to be in the mail, imagine that. I received an update stating that the Trust was having trouble depositing into my Bank of America account and could I verify the information. Never had a problem with a deposit or ACH going into any of my accounts, but I am sure not once, nor twice but three times your Trust has hit a roadblock. I asked if I should call the bank and was told no need they were going to try to make the deposit again for the third time. I called my bank and they said there was no difficulties with my account and showed no deposit attempts being made. I called again on the 20th and requested to speak to management of the supervisors and was told I would have to write a letter of complaint about the non-resolution of an extremely small and petty amount of money that definitely means the difference between my family becoming homeless along with so many other residents. It is a really small amount that Retirement Focus has probably wasted away with feeding me lip service and continued escalations and non-resolutions. I am not sure how such inefficiencies are allowed within a company but I totally understand the complaints and negative reviews I saw. I am about to add to them."
"I've been trying to cancel my life insurance policy since April 16th. It took them 6 weeks for them to send me the surrender form. Now it's been 2 weeks since I submited the form, no confirmation, no phone calls, NOTHING, Terrible service!!! I must add that I paid 1,250 usd for 8 years and I'm getting less than two years worth.... KEEP AWAY!"
