Reviews of La Boulangerie & Co Logan
"Amazing authentic French bakery. The lamination on the ham and cheese croissant was unreal. It was so good. There’s plenty of indoor seating but I could imagine it would be lovely in the summer with the garden. Quality matches the price."
"I popped into La Boulangerie & Co. while waiting to meet people at the Logan Square train station. I had been eyeing this place throughout my stay in Chicago, and I was so glad I got the chance to go in. I only ordered a croissant, but it was by far the most flaky, buttery, and delicious croissant I had during my stay. The crust was perfectly golden brown, and the inside was soft and airy. The butter was so flavorful, and it melted in my mouth. I will definitely be returning to La Boulangerie & Co. when I come back to Chicago. It is a must-try for anyone who loves french pastries."
"I ordered the Nordic breakfast sandwich which is essentially a croissant with salmon, eggs, greens and mustard. It wasn't mind blowing flavorful but it was good. I also ordered the peanut butter and jelly macaroon. Overall I recommend the spot for a good last minute light bite. The sandwich and macaroon cost $18 and it was not very big. The value for the price I paid was poor. But it is a nice restaurant that seems to be carved from an old home with lots of treats to buy. Very French."
"Staff is extremely unfriendly, as if their passports have been taken away and they are forced to work there. Is it so hard to reply with ‘Hi’ and a neutral smile? Nordic roll is served without cutlery but with a piece of kitchen ticket next to it. Is it so hard to remove a piece of paper before serving? Chocolate eclair is too heavy, I’d make it 2 times smaller and lighther. Also I don’t understand why all the bakeries in the states are so dirty, shouldn’t there be some sanitary norms in place"
"Cute little spot to have coffee, pastries & more! They have these giant croissants that are just too pretty to eat. These are probably my new favorite croissants. The pistachio & Nutella were amazing! I have yet to try raspberry & creme brûlée. They have a seating area inside and also a cute patio area."
