"Ugh I didn’t want to believe the bad reviews. But we came here for a Christmas tree. The pre cut ones were scraggly. Muddy. The animals Outside were beautiful but just - kinda in the back behind fences. We left for another tree farm to get a better tree and a better experience."
"We got the most beautiful trees. The trees we seen were all beautiful. Better than big box stores. I Don't know what Mr. Arnold is speaking of below. Smh! They have such a great staff, and friendly animals that are healthy and well taken care of from what I seen up close. Yes the animals are in cages as they are right by a highway and they have customers in and out. The dogs there are stock guardian dogs that are supposed to be outside. I don't understand some of the complaints on here but nowadays people are always looking for the next thing to complain about. We will be back and we will continue to support small businesses."
"This place is trash. They say they have field trees for cutting down, but the selection is terrible and blamed it on a drought the last two times I have been there. Judging by the way they keep their animals and their stock of live trees, they are poor farm managers. Field trees are $15 a foot if they're over 5 ft, but $200 if they're under 5 ft to promote further growth, but if you are just a few inches over the foot mark, they charge you for the entire next foot. Therefore a 7 ft 2 in tree costs $130. Save your money and your time and go to any other tree farm that has field trees for cutting down and you'll be much, much, much happier."
"Please be aware that the owners of this property are very neglectful of their animals. The cute little animals in front are well cared for, but if u look a little farther, you will see dogs that are kept outside year round, chained to dog houses or kept in pens. Horses are also kept without shelter and water. There have been dead chickens on the property. I have called Kendall County Animal Control numerous times. They have told me they get calls all the time and they do fine them. However, there is not a lot they can do due to lax laws regarding animal welfare. I used to love the trees until I realized I could not support this business."
"SUPER disappointed with the tree we purchased less than a week ago. Actually we bought it Sunday 11/19 & it’s Wednesday 11/22 and SO many needles have fallen off. At this rate it won’t last until Christmas. We just started putting lights on today, it’s just been sitting to open up some more and we keep it watered. We paid $120 bucks for this tree & I don’t think we should even keep it at this point. I would NOT recommend this place. The trees all felt the same, so unless you want a bare tree go some place else. The pic I added was needles just from today, I’ve vacuumed every day since putting it up. Ridiculous! And I understand some needles falling but not like this not at this rate. I’ve never had this happen with a real tree."
