"The woman who answers the phone is the rudest ever! She has attitude, talks over you, does not listen - and then comes at you as if you're being the problem. Terrible customer service!"
"Very direct and helpful when I needed medicine compounded. They were patient even though my doctor’s office was a nightmare about calling in the prescription. The woman (apologies if i’m misgendering) who I mainly spoke to was very kind and understanding regarding my food allergies, taking care to make sure my meds weren’t contaminated. She also put a mini spatula in there to make it easier for me to remove it out from the container, which I appreciate. Only took off 1 star due to not receiving a confirmation text that my meds were ready with the delivery ETA. If I hadn’t noticed the charge to my bank and called, I wouldn’t have known it was out for delivery/might have missed it. Then the delivery driver left it at our back door without calling or a signature (but seems like the delivery company is separate). Overall good experience and really appreciate the patience and kindness! Thank you!"
"We have been using Mark Drugs for many years for various medications for our pets. We have a 19 year old cat nearing his end. We called yesterday to refill his prescription. Apparently they needed to contact the vet for a refill. When we contacted Mark Drugs later they said they had the order and it was in the system. They said it would be ready possibly Monday. We asked about trying to get it sooner as we were concerned about running out. They said they could expedite it for an additional $20.00. I said no as I felt that was excessive and we would wait. I truly felt the lack of care in that moment. They also never contacted us today. Hoping they do on Monday as promised. Very discouraged today and saddened by their lack of cooperation or sympathy. We have used them for well over 10 years."
"Edit: I've been there a bunch of time since, and the mean lady no longer works with customers. Without having to deal with her this place is great. Changing my review from 2 stars to 5. There is a lady that works the counter who may just be the most unpleasant person I've encountered in a customer facing role. I've been there twice. The first time you could tell that she was having a bad day. She was taking it out on her coworker and throwing things. She took the same tone with me and with all the other customers in line. She couldn't find my prescription and told me they don't have it. Her coworker had to intervene to find it (took her 2 seconds). Then she said that it will take them several hours to fill it. Her coworker intervened and said that it should only take about 10 minutes. This made the rude lady even more mad. Her co-worker did quietly apologize for her rude colleague. At this point, this was becoming quite a show. I think some of the customers were hanging around just to watch the drama unfold, like a bad reality TV show. The second time, this lady was simply unpleasant instead of downright hostile. She threw a form in front of me and told me to sign (without even looking up at me). When I couldn't find the signature line and asked her, I got an eye-roll. Turns out she gave me the wrong piece of paper. No apologies, just another tossed piece of paper my way. To the owner of Mark Drugs: I know that it's tough to hire folks nowadays. I imagine that it's even harder for skilled positions. But there has to be some minimal standards for who works in a customer-facing role. This is so bad, that it borders on comical. I am hoping that the next time that I come in, the rude lady won't be there. If she is, I am going to look for another pharmacy for my vet meds."
"I am so happy a friend told me about Mark Drugs in Deerfield! I was in a panic trying to get medicine compounded on a very tight turn around for my dog who was experiencing breathing difficulty. After two ER vet visiting in one week I knew I needed this RX as soon as possible. After calling around to a few compounding pharmacies in the Chicago area- Mark Drugs was able to compound the med for me in less than 24 hours. All other pharmacies said they would not have it ready for at least 2-3 days. Such a relief to finally have the medicine that will help my dog breath! The staff were very helpful, honest about turn around time, and very accommodating! I also love that they sell high quality supplements too. I will definitely be back! Wonderful customer service! Highly recommend!"
