Walgreens Pharmacy

"I typically don't leave reviews and when I do they are usually good. However, this place has become something else and it's a different story. Besides there usually being a longer wait and line in the drive through and inside than I've ever seen at any other pharmacy, they do not fill scripts when they are called in, they always seem to not know if we have insuranceor what insurance to bill eventhough they have it on the computer screen right in front of their face. We had to rush our 1 year old daughter to the emergency room yesterday and the ER sent this Walgreens a script. I went to have it filled the following night around 7pm and the guy said, let me see if we can fill this or not, and went to the pharmacist on duty and asked. She said, yes, I will do this 1 only. Then before he even looked our info in the computer, he says, it's going to be at leastb15-20 minutes and is going to cost you $485, do you have insurance? Well hey genius, try reading the screen right infront of your face before saying or asking things that would frustrate most people. Yes, we have insurance and he would have known that if he took a half a second to look. Seriously, why is there always such a.long line and wait compared to other pharmacies? Do these people not put in notes or have any kind of system to help speed things up? Regardless, why wasn't this filled when the EMERGENCY ROOM called it in last night before 8pm? Why wasn't it filled esrlier today in the 11 hours they had between 9am and 7pm today? They had at least 6 techs working yet it still always seems so chaotic. I don't know what happened, but it was never like this until a few months ago. I do get it kind of because I've heard some of the ridiculous requests from some people as if they didn't know they have to call in refills or have a doctor send something in. It's almost as if some think there is a magical pill ferry or their meds should just magically fill itself when they need or want it. Time to find a bew pharmacy."

"They were very nice about giving me the details of what I should be aware of with my pills. This town is where I grew up. And everybody is always nice to each other here."

"I'm not sure how long I'll sit here in the pharmacy drive through listening to someone try and get their covid test results (15 minutes so far), but I'd love to just get my prescription. Shouldn't take long, but I'm giving up hope. I'm running low on rations and water. If you find my body, tell my wife I loved her."
