"Very challenging course, lots of hills, trees and dangerous out of bounds. Hard to navigate holes"
"Fun course despite playing it in the dark on a cold rainy/sleeting night. Three of us arrived just after dusk and got about two holes in before we needed our glow discs. Four holes in and it started to rain. Nine holes in and one of us decided to sit in the car while two of us trucked on in the rain which eventually turned to sleet. The reason being, this course came highly recommended by someone we crossed paths with at Megiddo who thought this course was better. Although I disagree with that opinion, the course was still fun but not nearly even in the same ball park in technicality or difficulty as Megiddo. When we arrived, the road leading down to the start of hole one was closed but we did not know that till we got started and had to park up by what appeared to be a theater that had a show that evening. When we arrived the parking lot was empty but was full within 30 minutes. Keeping in mind it was near dark, we started on hole 3 with the help of UDisc. Normally I take pictures to show and remind me of the course for when I get around to doing reviews but was not able to this time. Pads are concrete with one pad and one pin placement per hole. I believe there were signs by the pads but I can’t recall 100%. I also don’t remember seeing “next tee” signs pointing you in the direction of the next tee pad. We ended up using UDisc to navigate because it was too dark to see where we were supposed to go. Hole 7, being the longest hole, was confusing with the tee pad aimed in the direction of hole 8’s basket. Once we realized we were at hole 8’s basket, we 90 degreed our shots towards the correct basket. There are numbers on the basket bands to help identify them but it was mute at this point for us. There is a course map by the parking lot but wasn’t helpful to us yet since we weren’t able to start at hole one. The layout itself was nice with one just up the hill from the main parking lot allowing you to play a Upper 9 hole layout before coming back to the parking lot to get to hole 10 where you could also just play a lower 9 hole layout too. Hole 18 also finishes by the parking lot should you play the 18 hole layout. Course is low to medium in technicality. There are trees but I wouldn’t consider this a highly wooded course. There are lines through the trees but not narrow fairways through woods. Fairly open and a great course to play at night with proper gear, lights, glow discs, etc. There is water hazard of a river with water that does flow fairly quick. A must avoid if you don’t want to chase your disc down. There is a good variety of different shots needed with forehands, backhands, or however you deal with pin positions. Course is cart friendly for the most part with maybe the exception of the Upper to lower parts. I carried a bag this round as I wasn’t sure what to expect. There were also a few holes on the other side of the river from the parking lot that were extremely muddy but may have been recently under construction and waiting for grass to be planted or take root; again it was dark. There was also a cool looking Japanese structure that I am sure is cool to see in the light and in summer that is a little off the beaten path from the course. As expected, no one else was using the course at the time therefore I can’t speak for how busy this course might get in the warm summer months. I imagine the course might take roughly 90 minutes for 2-3 people to play this course under normal and ideal conditions. Course appeared clean and well-kept from what I could tell. I don’t recall bathrooms or garbage cans availability but wasn’t also in need of either at the time. I could see myself drive 20-25 minutes to play this course on a monthly basis if I lived in the area. Anymore than that and it would be because I was in the area for something else."
