"This place saved my life. Went there in 2011. I'm 35 now and once awhile I wonder what if I didn't, would I still be here. My doctor at the time was Betty F. Cannot remember her last name, but she was really the best. She opened my eyes and taught me I wasn't crazy and there wasn't really anything wrong with me. Said my parents got lazy and greedy. Boy did my stepmom sure didn't like her because she was on to them. Took one phone call on the speaker with my dad for her show me. She knew how to gain my trust and it was like she knew I wasn't a bad person like my parents made me out to be. Almost 12 years later I looked this place up just hoping they're still in business. If I ever win a million dollars, I will definitely invest in them. The classes that teach you life skills and how to interact with others is beneficial in ways you don't learn in school. Mental health is essential. I'm hoh and it still taught me so much. Coping skills will be your life jacket and learning to be your own best friend will be the most challenging and rewarding experience. Retrain your thoughts, redirect your thoughts. Took years, but the "bad" thoughts gets better. They tone down and eventually fade. Always practice redirecting thoughts, triggers come and go. But doesn't hit as bad. Rely on the coping skills to get through every bad day. Because your best days will come and you'll know life can be good. You have to focus on what you can do and stay busy on positive things. Anyway, I just wanted to say I am so very grateful for this place and opportunities they give people to live a better life and have a great future. They did for me."
"Terrible customer service and attitude of Nettie who is answering the phones. I was referred through my employee assistance program on 12/22/22 and emailed through their website on 12/23/22. I was supposed to get a response within 24-48 hours. Didn't hear a thing, so I called on 12/29/22. Nettie said they were full and there was a several weeks waiting list. Then she hung up on me. I called back to give her some constructive criticism and she started arguing with me. So rude. I doubt the counselors are any better. I told her she should not be in this business if that's the way she treats cold calls. I informed my employee assistance program to never refer someone to them again."
"I went to Hill Country Counseling three times a week for close to a year. I got excellent guidance and counseling there from Michelle, one of the counselors there. Michelle was very professional and didn't judge me. She went above and beyond her "job" there, and took me to a crisis unit across town when she thought it best for me. This place is one of the best facilities I've ever been to...ever, and I've been to quite a few, in a few different states. If you feel like you could use some help, or just someone to talk to, go here and get some help. Danny, the owner is a very nice guy, and has a great staff there under him. I can't say enough good things about Hill Country Counseling. Do yourself a solid and check them out. You won't be disappointed, I promise. G- Man approved. 10/10...now...GO!!!"
"I've been going for 3 years and I love it! The staff and owner are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and you get free lunch! Kate is awesome!"
"This place is a total joke. They will violate your HIPPA Law rights and give out any medical Mental Diagnosis and Medication Log to anyone who calls and states they are related. They did it to me and did not want to take responsibility or acknowledge their wrong doing. The owner is also a Joke! he has no integrity and will cover up his responsibility to the community. Please stay away from this place and the Human Services Dept. should investigate this place ASAP!"
