"TL;DR: There are not enough workers at this store, and it drastically affects the service. Pay your workers enough that they want to come in! I have spent 20 minutes in the Sonic drive thru over the past 2 days, and I haven't gotten any food in all that time. The first day I waited 5 minutes to see the line move once before I got tired of waiting. No big deal, every store has busy days. But after spending about 15 minutes in line today, I realized that the owner of this franchise has no interest in paying their employees a fair wage, and thusly only the desperate will work here. I know the food is good, but if the workers weren't stressed out of their minds for being understaffed and underpaid, perhaps I could have actually enjoyed some of it."

"I keep trying to go back there and get food every few months and every time I never go. Either I order and it never arrives or they don't even take the other as is the last 3 times. Just tried to order and sat there and sat there and saw other people who had ordered getting their food so I was hopeful...but nothing. No response to the blinking button. So I thought, "maybe this one is broken, I'll pull into the spot where they just got their food" but no, sat there and sat there with the light blinking and I watched another person drive up, try to order, same thing, and they drove off, so I did as well."

"I only had a cherry limeade which was very good but the rest of the family had food cheesy tots, mozzarella sticks garlic burger and cheeseburger which they found enjoyable. This was very late night and we were happy to get food as another place wouldn't serve us even though they had 20 minutes to closing. ( Freddie's) We went to the drive up so can't really rate atmosphere."

"We visited and the poor teen female employee was working all alone cooking, taking orders, and delivering food. Definitely worth the wait. We love our OFallon IL Sonic! Please hire more if possible"

"Ordered large onion rings and large coney dog, which is suppose to have chili and cheese, onions etc. There was a long line and the gentleman at the window did apologize for the wait. However, I should've checked the food, but after getting home saw all they had was a plain foot long hotdogs on a bun. No fixings. If we're willing to pay the dollar amount now a days, fix the food correctly. I understand the lack of employees now a days, but double check the order."
