Aquatic Zoo (Mt. Vernon)

"Took my granddaughter here today. She went off the low diving board several times and thought would do the high one. Upon getting up there she changed her mind due to the height. The lifeguard, Ellie, told her she wasn't allowed to come down the stairs that she would have to jump off. I got up and told her she did not have to jump off if she did not want to and she could climb down. I proceeded to talk to a manager at the main entry. I did not get her name, but it was today 6/29/23 at 3pm. She told me they encourage the kids to jump because they don't like them climbing down the ladder. When i tried talking about the difference in encouraging and forcing, the manager proceeded to start yelling at me that it is just how they do things. Wrong. That's how a kid gets hurt or terrified to do something! Totally unacceptable!"

"Mt Vernon is so blessed to have this facility. 8 years old and still looks like new!! Such a nice fun place and super clean!!! Great snack stand too!"

"Love this place! The kids have a blast every time we go, very well managed, plenty of coverage. 4 stars because the bathrooms are subpar. I know they can't manage the people going in and out at all times but they are gross in my opinion."

"My little girl loved it. We were disappointed that she could not slide down the big slides because she was under 48 inches. They had an exception listed on the bottom sign if they could swim a pool length unassisted, but they did not accept that when you get up to the top. 48 inches or take the walk of shame."
