"Charlie’s was one of the best late options out there. Always had great respect for their Friday and Saturday reasonable cover charges. Now they got greedy and doubled it and on top of it, they now charge on Sundays. Loved this place but losing its following due to greedy covers, shabby broken-up uneven, cement floors that every one trips on by dance floor and upper deck area. Compare the dance floor esthetics and polished wooden floors of their competitors, night and day. Not to mention the regular 20 minute lines to use bathroom on a weekend because they are too cheap to modernize their restroom infrastructure, or enlarge, or remodel them. It’s kind of sad. I don’t how that place and bathrooms are even conducive to a person with disability or wheelchair. Add the 300+ customers, and literally only 1 closed stall to use in women’s. Embarrassing. Lots of clientele going elsewhere due to their increase in prices and covers, and basically horrible valued specials, if any."

"Country Line Dancing is the best at Charlie’s! Such an amazing community of people and so much fun to learn something new! The drinks are super affordable too! This is my favorite spot in Chicago, hands down. I haven’t partied here late night though, so I can’t speak to that. Once the club music turns on and the smoke machine gets going, that’s my cue to leave haha"

"Great place. I’m a line dancer from CA and while some dance steps are different it all worked out. Bartender gave my 12 dances list to DJ and he played many of them. You’re never alone on the floor because others want to learn your dance if they don’t know it. If I come back to Chicago I plan to check it out and dance again."
