"I sort counsel where I can be open and venerable and still be rooted in my beliefs. A place where I felt heard and the strange was given weight. I found it here. It is helping me heal daily, change habits, function in the world healthy and find my authentic self."
"TERRIBLE experience with Melanie “Mel” Wells and the Lifeology staff. After making appointments several weeks in advance I completed the necessary docs online, at my appointment was the first I was told by the staff they didn’t “save” so I had to refill them out at the office in the waiting area prior to my one and only session. I had scheduled multiple appointments for me and my wife. ~2 weeks after my first session and after multiple calls to confirm they had all they required to see us both for separate sessions on the same day (to ensure my wife didn’t have to fill out everything twice) they called 3 and a half hours prior to my appointment to cancel because I didn’t have all my paperwork completed. This despite me calling just the day before and being told by the staffer they did have everything and we were both good. The staff made excuses, contradictory excuses at that, but ultimately canceled my appointment anyway. Then with an hour and half prior to my wife’s appointment they informed me Mel was no longer available for her appointment either and even instructed me to call my wife and let her know not to go. This was after telling me that her appointment could not be canceled on the first call of that day. Very unprofessional, very unorganized. Mel’s assistant actually told me that she wasn’t “God” and couldn’t keep track of all the details of all the clients. I quipped that I didn’t need her to be God, just to do her job, set the appointments and keep them as we were driving over an hour away, had made this appointment weeks earlier and both had to adjust our schedules to accommodate this time. I felt bad for snapping at her so I called back to apologize. I was told by another staffer she was no longer at the office so I asked the staffer to relay the message despite her saying it was unnecessary to apologize they understood my frustrations. While on this call I was then informed my wife’s appointment was also canceled as Mel was no longer available. However, when my wife inquired as to why both our sessions were canceled, and had to press for a reason, the same staffer I spoke with told my wife that I had “crossed a boundary”, they “felt for her” and would reschedule her but would no longer reschedule me. Needless to say, they do not seem to care for their patients, they are disorganized, unprofessional and despite the assistant being extremely rude and dishonest with me regarding the docs, attempted to use my apologizing as the excuse for canceling our appointments. I do not say this lightly… DO NOT seek counseling from Lifeology!"
"Not a good experience at all with Melanie Wells. Had 4 sessions with her. The care and expertise is just not there. It seems like a well run business though. Maybe they are better at yoga/mindfulness practice/ other services they provide. But not recommended for counseling."
"I've worked with Melanie Wells (and met others at Lifeologie), and am very aware of their passion for helping people with emotional and mental health related issues. Most impressive, though, is the multi-modal approach, using many different therapeutic methods to be sure the whole client is well taken care of. As someone who refers my clients to Lifeologie, I've had the opportunity to attend one of the team meetings (no clients were discussed while I was there!), and am especially impressed with the camaraderie, energy and wisdom in this group."
"I've been going here since February of this year and I absolutely love it and I have the best counselor -- Lexie girl you are freaking awesome! I've combined seeing a psychiatrist, meds and regular counseling and I have actively made a 180 with my mental health, relationships and so many other aspects of my life. Please if you are going through something you are not comfortable expressing to family or friends, see a counselor. We all need and deserve someone to confide in."
