"Stacy scheduled this event for us. It sounded great. We ordered food from the Lions Club which if you do, the club rental is free. Well I figured that would be ok. That was catch number one which I didn’t know, YET. The place was clean, there were staff there to serve the guests. After everyone got a plate they began to clean up. My girlfriend and I were going to get seconds after 2 hrs and found the staff was putting the food away. I asked them if I could have seconds; no all the food had been put away. Many of our guests were from out of town and didn’t want to leave the event to go to another restaurant, but no, this was not an option. Mind you the food (small amounts) came to 500.00, plus the charge for tablecloths, upgrade on plates, etc. I seen the staff putting the food into baggies and dividing it amount themselves. I asked for a baggie and was told the food was for the staff. Whatever wasn’t eaten between 1 and 230 was the staff’s food to take home! I was very disappointed for those coming from out of state as they all incurred an additional dinner fee when they left the hall. Since I paid for everything- I think there should have been a conversation if anyone wanted anything else to eat as they are putting the food away! I do hope the Elburn Lions Club staff enjoyed the food! There was a TON left as they gave out tablespoon portions! February 4, 2024"
"We call this the sand park because it's one of the few nearby that has sand instead of wood chips. It has stuff for all ages. Baby to teen. It's our fav park"
"First time I've ever been to the Elburn Lions Club. I was invited to a very good friend's wedding. The wedding was outside it was beautifully done. The facility was had enough room and the bathrooms clean. Faulty was extremely accommodating."
"Attend their German dinner every year. Also have been there to play bingo on Friday nights. The beer is good and cold, the staff is pleasant and efficient. Always a good time and love hanging with the locals. If you love country people you won't be disappointed."
"Absolutely wonderful! We had to change our wedding celebration four times due to COVID. Stacy (Event Coordinator) was patient and supportive. She is a pro. The facility is clean and the grounds are beautiful. The volunteers did a great job and we especially appreciate John and Judy! It’s truly a wonderful operation!"
