"Ordered a veggie sandwich, asked to add mayo, onions & peppers. Got home to find they only put cheese, mayo, onions and peppers…no lettuce or tomatoes. Makes zero sense considering the veggie sandwich is supposed to be “loaded” with lettuce tomatoes and cheese per their menu. Not happy and won’t be going back. *Update - I sent in a complaint on their website and I was told that the Veggie sandwich is actually a cheese sandwich…makes zero sense, should just call it a cheese sandwich. So if you’re getting the Veggie just know you have to order the veggies…."

"Driving through town we picked this off of a Google search for "vegetarian friendly," but I think it's closer to "vegetarian tolerant." For instance, the veggie sandwich on the menu has no veggies. Without any sort of description, my family was baffled when we were asked if we wanted the "extras," and when my husband declined, got a cheese sandwich, in which neither the cheese nor bread was anything worth getting excited about. I did add the extras to mine, so I at least got tomatoes and lettuce? Why they do not just call this a cheese sandwich is a mystery to me, as is the lack of descriptions for the sandwiches anywhere. I hoped the cheese fries would make up for it, but it was just fries with a cup of nacho cheese paste on the side? Again, it was fine, I suppose."

"Thought I didn't like Hungry Hobo, but tried a hot sandwich with banana peppers and it was so good. The lady at the register was so sweet."

"Hungry Hobo needs to start being open more for in door service. The Bettendorf one never should've moved!! The new building is a waste. I hate that it went drive up too. Still love the sandwich, just not the same."

"This place is fine. I ordered a rueben and cheese curds and I got a reuben and cheese curds. Wasn't great but wasn't bad either. My wife had the chili and thought it was good and it had fresh onions on top. The people are nice!"
