"I had a visit here about 3 weeks ago. An incident with an eye injury. They got me in fast, I assume they could see how much pain I was in. The front desk was very kind and the nursing staff were very helpful and prompt with me. Ultimately they couldn't really do anything for me I needed to see an ophthalmologist but they got me in fast and addressed my injury and guided me with what to do next ans extremelykindto me."
"I called my doctors office at Rush Copley in Aurora my doctor didn’t have any open appointments for two weeks. The nurse referred me to ER at either the hospital in Aurora or ER in Yorkville. I went to Yorkville because it was closer. What a huge mistake. This place is a complete joke!!! I went there because I hurt my back and have 8 herniated discs between my back and my neck. The doctor grabbed me by my hips after he had me sit down and pushed down and shook them causing me more pain. Then asked me what I wanted him to do. I told him I was told to come here for help. He offered Steroids or NSAIDs for inflammation sorry that’s not the problem and I wasn’t about to let him inject me with steroids or give me NSAIDs that I can not take!! Instead of him calling my doctor, he sent me home with a script for Lidocaine patches which I told the nurse to keep. I wasn’t there for drugs as I’m sure he assumed by the way he treated me. I wanted some help even if it meant him sending me to the hospital by ambulance, I could not drive any further with the pain in my back and hip. Don’t use this bandaid shop for anything! The other side of the ER there I have no issues with. I go there for my bloodwork or imaging tests. That side is great! The ER needs to be shut down over there permanently!!!"
"I had a HORRIBLE visit here. Was unable to breathe and the triage nurse refused to get me water twice when I asked. He proceeded to yell at me then walked away in a huff, leaving me alone dizzy and hyperventilating. Then came back with a half glass of water and pretendd nothing had happened. Once i was in the hospital room they did nothing but bloodwork and an ekg. Then they left me in the room alone for 20 minutes while I struggled to breathe. I had NO buzzer to call them. They misdiagnosed me with asthma (which I don't have). Did nothing to check my sinuses or airway (literally NO looking at ear, nose or throat). They sent me home two hours later, after the ER Dr ignored my symptoms of sinus pain, blood in congestion and repeatedly said in a frustrated tone "I can't understand you." Between my gasping for air. ..i somehow made it through the rest of the weekend short of breathe and saw my gp this morning. She immediately diagnosed me with a bad bacteral sinus infection and was appalled they didnt see it at the Er. If I could give that place 0 star rating I would. DO NOT GO HERE!!!. Especially if you have a child. Its the worst care Ive ever received. ."
"Went there today, and the same treatment, I received about 8 years ago. The staff appears to not value Black People. I watched others, that checked in after me, get seen before me. I will never come here for health care again. The Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora, has better service."
"If I had read all the bad reviews before I went, I would have gone elsewhere. But when you need emergency care, who’s going to do that? I experienced exactly what many other reviews state: detached/rude staff, and they didn’t do ANYTHING. Went in with bursitis- my knee was swollen 3x it’s size. So much pressure I couldn’t bend my leg. I went in fully expecting them to drain it and relieve the pressure. Nope. They wrapped it and gave me crutches. I asked the doctor why he wouldn’t drain it. He said it could get infected, and it would be better to see an orthopedic doctor to drain it, since he’d be the one who would have to operate if it got infected. 3 days later the fluid was spreading to the rest of my leg. (No surprise really. The fluid’s gotta go somewhere.) So I went to a different urgent care, and right away he asked me if I wanted it drained, which he did. He gave me some steroids for the inflammation and antibiotics. Obviously, he could only get some of the fluid since it had spread. So now I have to spend MORE time with me leg elevated. I’m obviously no doctor, but I’m sure if it had been drained when I went to the Rush ER, I’d be much further along in my recovery. Complete waste of time going there. Can’t wait to see what they charge my insurance."
