"I DO NOT suggest living here solely because of the Managment team. As of 01/01/2022: 1. Management will throw packages away after two days. Travel arrangements must be made to ensure your property isn't thrown away by Managment. 2. Maintenance came into my apartment unauthorized. I was on a work call and unable to deal with the *third* unannounced interruption from maintenance that day. He unlocked my door and came in anyway. 3. When I *do* need assistance from maintenance, work orders are deleted from the system. 4. Managment does not take care of garbage. It consistently piles UP the trash chute. 2023 update - another new management company; the exterior door locks don’t work and it’s been that way for almost two months - keys are useless; maintenance doesn’t respond to work orders even when safety is at risk; there is construction continuously on Oak Park, even on Saturday mornings. Finally able to move out soon - don’t live here. 10.2023 update - finally moved out and this management is still causing us problems. Take pictures when you move out - they WILL charge you for items already cleaned. If we hadn't taken detailed pictures of the INSIDE OF OUR STOVE, we'd be out more money to them now. Oh, and before our lease was up the garage door didn't work to the *paid* garage. At the same time the exterior door keys were not effective..."
"Updated Review: I must admit, 33 Management got off to a rocky start and I wasn’t hopeful at all, and planned to move soon! However, they’ve done a 180!!! The common areas are cleaned on a regular basis, I’m no longer embarrassed when family comes to visit. They’ve added some decorative plants and air fresheners too! The building’s maintenance guy is phenomenal, exceptional! He came in the fix my toilet and noticed other things that needed repair and got those done too! Thank you, 33 Management for the quick turnaround!!! Last note: PLEASE PLEASE GET THE INTERCOM FIXED AND YOU GUYS WILL BE 5 out of 5! UPDATE: *Sigh - INTERCOM NOR LOCKS WORK-GARBAGE PILES UP-ELEVATOR FLOOR IS ALWAYS FILTHY-SMOKING TENANTS-BROKEN REFRIGERATOR MANAGEMENT REFUSES TO REPLACE- RENT INCREASES WITHOUT RESOLUTIONS TO THE MANY ISSUES. I thought 33 would be great but they don’t care about the building or the tenants!"
"11/11/22 I am going into my third year in this building and 33 Management is the third management company that has taken over this property. When I say they are the worse, I don't think there are any words to describe how horrible they are. Common areas are rarely cleaned so the elevator floor is always stained. I don't think the stairwell is ever cleaned. They finally had the carpets cleaned (woo hoo). Communication with anyone in the management company is non-existent. You have to hound them in order to speak to anyone. Almost every email that I have ever sent has gone with no response. This is the second time that we have gone a week with a backed up trash chute and overflowing dumpsters outside. One of the property managers, Jack, has not one positive communication skill. He accused us of smoking in our unit (neither of us smoke), when I reached out to clear that up and insist they investigate as there was no way smoke could be coming from our unit, there was no apology for the misunderstanding or anything. I finally received a visit from maintenance a month after my work order was entered. I can go on and on. It definitely is NOT worth the money. 2 years ago I am a current tenant of the Berwyn property and before recently, I never had any real issues. Some maintenance stuff that’s usually responded to and fixed quickly by Stacy. Just recently though, I reached out to the property manager with some SERIOUS concerns regarding an incident in the building as well as an issue in my apartment. After not receiving a reply for days, I followed up only to receive a short, rude, nonchalant response from her which was quite offending. I spend too much money here to be brushed off and ignored and I replied letting her know that and how her email came across. Do you think she said anything else? Nope. If there ever is a need to in the future, I will definitely be communicating with someone else."
"Do not live here if you value your time. There is NO real emergency maintenance number. General maintenance requests take at least a week to complete (and it’s not the maintenance guys fault, there is just too much for one person to do). It’s impossible to get in contact with anyone that will help, even during business hours. I did not get my garage opener until a month after I moved it and had already paid the previous month for parking. I could go on, but the bottom line is customer service is non-existent."
"Looks can be deceiving... 1. A few weeks ago I found water puddled in my hallway. No communication was issued to the people living along this hallway until we received an aggressive notice telling people not to touch drying machines. We were not given any additional information. Up to today, the carpet has a dark brown stain (see photo), it smells bad, and there is a dirty doormat sitting in a random spot in the hallway. 2. Three weeks ago the garage flooded. No communication was issued to the residents. The garage is still wet in places, smells terrible, and is extremely dirty. There is also black MOLD on the walls (see photo). I chatted with other residents in the building and no one knew whether management was aware and/or dealing with the situation. 3. I have not been able to see out of my bay window for 1 YEAR. I have consistently requested that this be replaced and nothing has been done."
