"Hi. WARNING!!!!! Please do not rent here. This place engages in predatory practices. I rented here for 5 years and paid rent on time during my entire stay. My unit was outdated but I never paid any up charge. Throughout my stay, maintenance had to replace my heating system. This problem was bad because there was a wide crack in the foundation where they installed the ac unit. So because it was always a draft coming in, the heating system burned up the plastic covering of the ac unit because it was near the floor attached to the wall. Maintenance also had to replace water damage done to the roof in the closet. This water damage ruined a lot of items I stored in the closet. Maintenance also would often send emails when they had to come in to fix plumbing situations, but it was because they paid for water. I mention all of this to say that when I moved out, they charged me with the most ridiculous and predatory charges. Charges that seem like basic maintenance. Examples below. $25 -Replace 4 light bulbs $25- clean and replace AC filter ( why would the tenant have to clean and replace the AC filter) $275- REPAINT Tub due to bath mat damage. (One why are you painting a tub, two the mat was there because there was paint stains when I moved in) $85-Damage done to front door top corner and veneer coming off ( this comes from when my door wouldn’t lock because it was old. Maintenance came and fixed the lock but never took care of the top damage) $45- extremely dirty carpet in bedroom(the carpet was cleaned and vacuumed) There were more ridiculous charges. I made this review three years ago and had pictures. They asked me to take it down and I was in a good mood. However I just received a email and text saying they were cleaning out their files and they want me to still pay under threat of reporting it to my credit history. They gave me a deadline as well. I see that they have done this to more tenants as well. I’m planning to take legal action. Please avoid this place at all costs."
"I give no star. They keep raising rent and don’t update nothing. My loved ones’ rent is paid in full and I don’t even know if they are comfortable living there. They came to pick up the garbage today but I had to clean up after these lazy people. 0 star"
"The unit was extremely outdated but in a great area. After 4 years and annual rent increases with zero updates, I was eventually priced out and had to move. During my tenancy I was a model renter. Investing hundreds of dollars back in the unit with not 1 late payment. That's over 60,000 dollars. I'm shocked and hurt at not receiving my deposit back. Less than 2% of 60,000 is nothing to a company that "Puts Residents First." It's as if they didn't plan to invest any money into the unit prior to the next tenant moving in. There was nothing new in the unit when I moved in. Not even the light bulbs. Here is an itemized list of charges I was assessed: $240.00 cracked refrigerator shelves. The fridge was old already and in desperate need of replacing. $375.00 to clean the walls. Did they not expect to paint for the new tenants? $85.00 for a tear in the screen. If you drive past the building you'll see no updates have been made to exterior paint and windows in over 20 years. Bugs entering the unit because windows are in bad shape. Plastic covers are a must for the winter and will drive electric heating cost way up!! $125.00 for carpet cleaning. I paid twice to have them professionally cleaned during my stay. Left them in better shape than when I moved in. $155.00 Bent closet door. These huge, loud metal doors that bleed rust. At least 20 years old. $85.00 to clean tile lines in bathroom. Mold is inevitable in a bath with no windows and outdated exhaust system. Caulk should be replaced every now and then. 4 years, Nothing. Again, I was genuinely hurt at how things ended. Do yourself a favor and photograph every inch of the place before signing. Don't consider your tenancy a partnership and invest in the unit because it won't be appreciated. Better yet, take your business elsewhere! I'm including pictures of how I left the place. You'll see I was far from a messy guy!"
"These woman strung me along for weeks. Trying to make it difficult for me. First viewing, i was stood up and then told someone came the day before with deposit. Twice she did this to me and then attempted to show me an apartment that was disgusting. After requesting a deposit more than the rent plus a move in fee. These people are in the business of making money off of the application fee. You pay the application fee before they run any check on you or before you can view the apartment. Simply sorry woman!"
"This company is 100% trash. My mom lived here for 10 plus years and they had no sympathy for her and her health when it started to decline. They don’t care about their tenants and the apartments are very low level for the high amount of rent they charge and pay and the price goes up every year more than your cost of living would amount to. They own a lot of properties in the western suburbs. Do your research and avoid purchasing from them."
