Steak 'n Shake

"Steak & Shake, at least in Pekin, has become very impersonal. You order strictly by kiosk. No waitresses. You pay at the kiosk. No cashier. They have successfully removed lots of human interaction here. This will be my last visit to this chain, and it has become a cold and dungeon like feel to it. I used to look forward to coming here. Now, I look forward to avoiding it."

"Lobby, tables, counters and booths were all clean. No sticky floors!! Food came out quick and correct. Extra condiments, cheese, and straws in a neatly stapled to-go bag, all without asking."

"I lived in south TX for 20 yrs and missed Steak ‘n Shake alot!!!! But I hate that everything is automated anymore. Kiosks = no cust service to me! And the food is super greasy!!! More than I ever remember. But I still love a good steak burger once in a while."

"Like most steak and shakes the food was good. And like most steak and shakes this one has sadly cut staff. It's a good place for me though steak and shake has lost a step with these kiosks instead of people. So that's why I gave them 3 stars"

"Rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Everytime I go they won’t allow drive thru orders even when the inside has no one and say the shake machine is down and I got told my a manager I know that they lie about it so they don’t have to do the work. They are so rude when I kindly asked why they can’t accept drive thru when I have an injury and is very hard to get in and out of the car. Also had their mic on when drive thru is “closed” but all I heard was cussing and taking like everyone’s just hanging out not working. Worst Steak ‘n Shake I’ve ever dealt with in my whole life use to be one of my favorite places to eat and the Morton store has ruined that. Also got a Frisco that was literally on bread and they didn’t grill it at all. It’s like there is no management to stop the horribly rude behavior and service and issues with the food not cooked properly. DO NOT EAT HERE"
