"I no longer wish to live here, but unfortunately I am stuck in a new lease. This decision was made prior to having the most obnoxious neighbors move in. I am contemplating contacting a lawyer to break my lease. The new neighbors blast rap music for hours on end. I am too scared to confront them because I am a small, young woman. Do not move here unless you want to live in fear: 1. Fear of stepping on dog feces 2. Fear of having your items stolen 3. Fear of not being able to kindly ask your neighbors to be considerate of the fact that they are not the only people that live here 4. Fear that anything can happen and Bennington will not do anything about it because they have no cameras and are unwilling to take any responsibility This place has become a gehtto. It is quite sad and unfortunate. I will not be renewing my lease or ever recommending anyone this place."
"The maintenance team was supposed to repair drywall and paint the ceiling, wall and area surrounding the wall outlet, and the drywall around that patio door that had sustained damage and had an active mildew and mold situation. Not only did they only sort of paint 1/3 of the problem areas, they did no drywall repairs, the mold and mildew is still a very visible and posing an active problem, and then they lied to the property manager saying that the other tenant had approved of the work they had completed. The other tenant was not in the same room as the work completed, and was not asked anything at all, and the only thing that was even said to him was in passing, in the hallway (not the room with repairs), “It’s done. I’m going now.” They did not ask a question nor even wait for a reply. Make sure to take photographic proof so you can actually have recourse on how to get repairs actually completed competently."
"Officially moved in a month ago and maintenance is always quick to respond to my requests. The front office is amiable and answer my questions thoroughly. The neighbors so far are pretty friendly. Emergency maintenance takes about an hour to respond & charge you $50.00 cash to let you back in your apartment (I was locked out). Not happy with the layers of paint in the kitchen cabinets, but i was able to clean those off. I'll update more as the time passes but for my first month here, can't complain! They did add a room for deliveries (I'm guessing from all the complaints of theft) so I'm hoping to not have any issues with that."
"They will probably take my review down. They're good at hiding the truth.They sell you a dream. Give it time for reality to set in. They are good at collecting money.. Sure the main office is nice how about the functionality and upkeep of the other buildings whether it's smelly or dirty or NON functioning components, or dirty smelly messy rehab and renovations. There is no airflow in hallways which makes it hard to breathe at times for anyone with asthma. Garbage and filth can be left for days and WEEKS before being cleaned . Honestly disgusting for the amount paid in rent.Nothing against the maintenance people but everything against the way they manage the property and treat people behind closed doors, then charge tenants for managements "executive decisions" I dropped off a check 2 days ago to the office and Included the late fee. The next night I had a 5 day notice to terminate.. how do they manage and still do things like this? This is not my first or second or only issue with management . Bad business unless you like throwing your money away and not getting what you deserve . will never recommend anyone to live here"
"Maintenance marked the work order as completed without doing anything or informing us about a resolution. I had to follow up with the leasing office to be informed that pest control has been scheduled for this week and we dont know what day they're actually coming. There's rotting wood on the roof above our window with a whole bee hive in it and the bees are somehow coming through the seams of the window directly into our bedroom. We're gonna have to put plastic wrap over our window to prevent bees from entering in the middle of summer. Update with new video 8/4/2023: Amanda is responding to these google reviews trying to do damage control, but if the maintenance team and pest control don't do their jobs they are making her out to be a liar. I know pest control came by while we were gone because they left one of the locks on my door unlocked along with a note. They did absolutely NOTHING to fix the problem! We have tape on our window to block the bees from getting through and into our bedroom. That tape has not been touched and there is still a beehive in the rotten wood on the roof's siding. It's actually getting worse(please see attached video). Pest control needs to be addressing this problem from outside the apartment(from the roof or using a ladder) and maintenance needs to be replacing the rotted wood siding so the bees can't make a hive inside it. The truth needs to be told and I dont mind being the whistle-blower. The maintenance team does shoddy work as if all they know is the difference between a Phillips and a flathead screwdriver. All the reviews about packages being stolen on a daily basis are 100% true. These people will even steal your delivery food. Everything this lady Amanda says they're in the process of fixing has yet to be fixed. She should probably spend less time responding to Google reviews and spend more time ensuring the work is actually being done and things are getting fixed. Bennington's lack of attention to these glaring issues should be embarrassing for the whole staff."
