Reviews of 5th Avenue Station Loft Apartments
"I am writing this review as the former Assistant Property Manager for this property. I have sincerely enjoyed my time here and will truly miss working for not only this community but for AMC LLC which was the property management company running the community. Short walking distance from downtown Naperville and being next door to the Naperville train station to travel to the city has always been amazing. The Leasing and Maintenance team that I am leaving has been the best I have worked with. You won't be disappointed living at 5th Avenue Station!"
"Overall, 5th Avenue has been a great place to live. Matthew in the leasing office is attentive, responds quickly to any questions or concerns, and ALWAYS friendly! Craig in Maintenance is FAST, usually fixing minor requests within a few hours, or next day."
"My experience living at 5th Ave has been nothing short of amazing. The front end staff is always super helpful and has insight into any question I might have. Maintenance always resolves all my issues within 24-48 hours. The units themselves are gorgeous, better than almost every apartment I’ve ever visited here in the suburbs and I’m DT Chicago. Special shout out to Matthew (assistant property manager)for always making time to help the residents and just being a wonderful person."
"One of the very recent reviews is about the issues regarding a sublease. We had a very similar experience as well. The leasing office people are at no fault. They are just being told what to do. It is the management company running the place, which is in charge of the sham show. The company goes fully against Illinois law (735 Ill. Comp. Stat. § 5/9-213.1). Under this law, your landlord must make reasonable efforts to re-rent your unit—no matter what your reason for leaving—rather than charge you a set fee or refuse to let you sublet. The apartment management company (AMC) technically allows the tenants to sublease, however, they make it extremely difficult—almost impossible— to find a candidate. They flat out refuse to inform the interested parties —who might call or email the leasing office to inquire about availabilities— there is an available unit for sublease! If you give them the intent to vacate notice in a set date, while you are looking for a sublease applicant on your own, they again refuse to honor that date as your notice date to break your lease. I am wondering if they are even aware of the clear violation of the above-mentioned state law! occasionally wrong and misleading information might be shared with a potential interested sublease candidate (e.g., the utilities of a studio apartment runs about 250-300$ (which is almost double the real amount)). The company’s whole effort is to get as much money as they can from the tenants who have to leave. If someone has the time, the sublease matters should definitely be litigated."
"We have been living at 5th Ave station for 7 years and really enjoy it . We like to walk to Naperville center which is so close and also take the train into Chicago for cultural events, with the station so conveniently located from across the building. The apartments have charm with their exposed wooden beams and brick walls. The outdoor deck with grills is a wonderful way to meet other people . Management is very responsive and repairs and other concerns are addressed quickly. Also we get spoiled with treats and an Easter egg hunt with prizes today"
