"Nice & Quiet! Price was great, especially when being single and raising kids. Maintenance was Always timely IF any issues occurred. Neighbors were great...IF I didn't need a larger place I would still be there!"
"Very nice for the price, quiet, and fantastic location. My husband and I lived there for approx 3 years (2012 - 2015) when Lee and Tina were the managers. They were wonderful to deal with and always fixed or replaced anything that broke usually within 24 hours and always within 48 hours! We enjoyed staying there. Only downside -- when we moved in, the fireplace and windows were not cleaned; when we moved out, we left them cleaner than when we moved in and still PART of our security deposit was held."
"This is a very quiet complex with mostly older people living there. The apartments are nice, but there's no in unit laundry which makes it hard for my mother who hurt her knee to take her laundry to the basement. Very safe area, and conveniently located near Randall Road and all of its shopping. A quick drive to downtown Geneva and St Charles, too."
"Honestly, this is one of the better places in the Geneva/St. Charles area for the best price. I'm a pretty thrifty person so the monthly rent was very important to me. Easily $200-$400 cheaper than any other option I found in the area - not to mention free heat and water. They are also pet friendly and don't gouge you on the pet fee either. Electricity in the summer is expensive (but not back breaking) due to the air conditioner but it far makes up for it during the winter since the heat is so darn cheap and there is a fireplace. Lee, the maintenance man, I can see has some bad reviews on it. While he may never win Mr. Congeniality, he is an okay guy, just don't bring any problems to him. The main strategy to live peacefully here is to never have a compliant or problem, then you will do just fine. I suggest if you have kids or young puppies/dogs, to try some place more forgiving and understanding first."
"I completely agree with the first reviewer. The apartments are nice for the price and it is rather quiet and peaceful. Here are the cons, #1 con is the MAINTENANCE man named Lee. He is one of the biggest grumps I've ever met. I had a blockage in my toilet and it took him 2 days to fix it. When he finally arrived he had the nerve to tell me that it was my fault because "woman destroy plumbing lines because of the tampons we flush" I was so embarrassed and couldn't wait for him to leave. i can type all day about the weird things he did around there. I never met the owner but I hear he his nice. I have to wonder however...with all the negative reviews online for Pepper Valley specifically pertaining to the maintenance man, why does he keep him around? Lack of pride of ownership? Anyhow I would just like to inform people that they are ok apartments but they are not in the best shape. I think a blind man painted the one i had. I cannot recommend them."
