"Smells of musk and cigarettes. Outdated bathrooms and kitchen. The pricing is laughable and just keeps going up. Had our ceiling fall in on us after a storm and had to move into different building only able to move during the offices hours due to fire code. Instead of any compensation or empathy I was yelled at from head manager for not moving fast enough. Their roof was not up to code and left many put up in hotels to spend more money that we didn’t have. Didn’t reimburse for expenses of hotel until threatening to call lawyer or newspaper. Please rent with caution!"

"Hello, my experience at Yorkville Apartments has been the best i've ever lived. The landlords have been great since day one. They are flexible and care. They also take care of the property well. I must say that when i have an inside job to be done by maintenance, they respond right away and the issued is fixed right away as well. My neighbors are nice. It's a quiet area and I love it. I would recommend Yorkville Apartments to anyone who is looking for a place to stay. Blessings to you and your staff !"

"Overall this has been an OK place to live at, but it is not cheap. The rent has been steadily increasing over the last few years and is getting to be unaffordable: ~$930 / 1 bedroom for the small town of Yorkville is unrealistic. A few highlights are: Pros: * Excellent maintenance (the "repair" man is very prompt and finishes his job efficiently and quickly) * Quiet / less noise - helps with studying (except occasionally neighbors playing guitar or dogs barking) * Good neighborhood (plenty of parks fairly close by and nice walking spaces) * Plenty of parking space * Churches, Yorkville Library, Aldi's, NCG Cinema, McDonald's, KFC/Taco Bell, Kohl's, Menards, Chase bank, multiple gas stations etc. are all very accessible / close by. Cons: * Rent is very high for the location, has been increasing and less affordable (primary reason for the low star rating) * Very few 1BHK apartments available * Problems with insects / pests / bees / wasps since there are a number of trees nearby and they are attracted by the light on the apartment building (that is close to our window) * No elevator (hassle to get furniture or other items up the stairs) * During the winter, parking lots filled with snow and ice are cleaned up just before or right after 8am, making it hard (and dangerous / slippery) to get out of the lot. Also, the parking lots are a bit dark and it would help if there are more lights (on each building to light the lots up). * Kitchen counter tips are painted wood and keep chipping off; they should be replaced with granite. * There are frequently drafts in the apartments which makes the heating not that efficient."
