"How this building got that many stars is beyond me. If I could I would give negative stars. Terrible terrible building to live in. I have had flies in my apartment since I have lived here 2021. I have said something many times but the effort they put in (nonexistent) still doesn’t stop them from coming. They are in the ventilation system some way some how. They seem to love the bathroom. It’s to the point where you can be sitting in the kitchen here them flying around next thing they drop dead right by your plate. Absolutely disgusting!!! Giving an apartment building damn near 2k a month for this is crazy! The water is absolutely disgusting and atrocious. It leaves a residue behind because it’s so much calcium in the water or whatever it is the water in the building pretty much never works so always a repair issue. The water taste terrible. The hot water is nonexistent. You have to let the water run in the tub for 10 to 15 minutes before it can even get hot in the sink. The amenities are piss poor. Garbage disposal barely worked when it broke they didn’t fix it. So they need to remove that off the site. The dishwashers leave the dishes looking trash worthy. The pool was never open and when it was it was dirty. The workout room is lackluster all the rent tenants pay they deserve pelotons. People with pets put dog feces in the building entrance garbage that doesn’t get dumped super often or they will leave right outside the building where you walk in. You pay for pest control every month but they don’t come out unless requested. I’m starting to see ants and it’s dead in a winter. Why are there flies flying around in my bathroom? Something has to be dead inside the ventilation system for them to continue to keep coming. The paint is cheap but they want to charge you for wear and tear. The hallways and elevators smell because of the pets. The smoke weed and cigarettes. But your rent better not be late by the 4th day at 12 am or you will get a $100 late fee. It’s just sad that we have to pay rent then wait forever for things to get fixed because it’s always on back order and the repair still doesn’t get done. If you can live somewhere else by all means take that route. Curt you are still the same kind nicest office manager I have ever met."
"My family and I recently moved into The Township at St. Charles, and I wanted to share our experience thus far. From the initial tour to our move-in date, Ms. Jonna has been exceptionally helpful and responsive, ensuring our transition was smooth and pleasant. During our move-in process, we encountered several maintenance requests, such as addressing the squeaky exhaust fans and ensuring the bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned. Ms. Jonna promptly addressed these initial concerns, ensuring they were resolved efficiently and to our satisfaction. Her dedication to promptly addressing these issues significantly enhanced our move-in experience. A standout quality of Ms. Jonna is her exceptional responsiveness. Whether during our initial tour or on her duty days post-move-in, she consistently answered the phone immediately and provided the necessary support. Her proactive approach and unwavering commitment to customer service have set a positive tone for our experience at The Township at St. Charles. Additionally, it's worth noting that we've observed cold air leaking into our room through the glass panels, necessitating higher A/C settings to maintain a comfortable temperature. We hope this can be addressed to enhance our living experience further. In conclusion, we are delighted with our decision to rent at The Township at St. Charles, largely due to Ms. Jonna's exceptional service and dedication. Additionally, Mr. Curt played a crucial role in facilitating a smooth payment process, further contributing to our positive experience. We look forward to our time here and are confident that any future interactions will continue to uphold these high standards of professionalism and support."
"Walked in today just to check out the property and it is so beautiful! Jonna, the leasing manager, immediately greeted me when I walked in and helped out a lot when answering all my questions and viewing the property in general. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to since I hadn’t made an appointment but I am so glad I could! It was such a great experience. Lovely staff and property."
"•Our water is shut off quite often for multiple hours at a time. •My parking spot in the basement will go up an extra $15 at the time of my lease renewal (rather than being grandfathered into the current pricing). •Common area doors SLAM shut, rather than slow close. The door cylinders can be easily adjusted, yet they all slam shut causing loud noises throughout the night when residents refuse to “gently” shut the door behind them. •My storage unit will go up in price when my lease renews, too."
"Curt was a fantastic manager and was always happy to talk to us if we needed help. Pool was always kept clean as well as the laundry room. We had no issues with neighbors or management, but maintence does take at least a week to fix something, if not longer. Apartments are very large, spacious, mostly open concept. Have lots of storage and ours had a huge pantry. Our apartment was newly renovated, but renovations made were obviously done cheaply, new carpet, but very cheap and the install was done poorly, had little carpet fibers coming up until the day we moved out. Part of our floors were vinyl wood, but they held up well. All our doors had new hardware but were hallow and painted white with the wrong type of paint as it would chip regularly. Bathtubs/showers were painted white, which is fine, but paint was done poorly and would chip just from normal use. Countertops were quartz which was awesome and we had entirely new appliances which were great. The issue was the countertops, being natural stone, needed to be sealed, but clearly never were and absorbed anything you put on them. Our sink was supposedly stainless steel but if you scrubbed the sink while wet a patina would come off. The cabinets were just painted over and whoever redrilled them to attach handles did not fill the original holes. It's a "nice from afar" kind of look, but still overall one of the nicer places I've lived. Best part were the huge floor to ceiling windows and big balcony. We also always had plenty of parking and never had any issues with guests spending the night or a few days. Paying rent is easily done online and they have a generous grace period. Utilities are pretty inexpensive as well. I'd say if you're looking for a reasonable, clean place to live in St. Charles you should check it out."
