Reviews of Meadowdale Apartments
"Hello, this is not a review but a question, if a resident is struggling to find new work would they be able to come work for you? And if so how do they go about applying for a job?"
"You share 2 fire extinguishers for 12 units and they are 2 years expired. Good thing building is up to fire code… oh wait"
"The worst place to live. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I thought that the management of the previous owner was bad but the actual Eden Prairie apartments management is the worst that I have ever seen. I have been complaining about the heat for a while but they really don't care. It's super cold in my unit. It is 60°F during day and night . They are required by the law to have the heat at least at 68°F. My kids got sicks so many times during this winter because of this irresponsible management. We have 2 laundries in the building that have been out of service for months and months. We complained so many but they don't care. Can't wait to get out of here!"
"Having not so great credit it was hard to get an apartment even here and had to use a large security deposit. The apartments are pretty decent with decent storage, the kitchens are too small and not enough counter space. The grounds are really nice and very well taken care of. I wish they had more baby and children swings and the play area was updated.. needs new mulch and a newer bench. The current bench is 2 inches from the ground which is very unpleasant for grandparents when visiting. I love the 'splash park seal' but have yet to see it working. I really hope it does, because it would be very nice for all the kids here. They adress concerns in a very quick and easy manner and are pretty helpful. I wish they could offer additional storage options. Overall there are pros and cons, but it's a nice place. They may do smoke free units in the future which would be wonderful, but I wish they made switching units easier. People and circumstances change so it would be nice to be able to switch especially with a good customer. Top floor get really hot and never have to turn on the heat (makes for a low electric bill in the winter). The AC units don't really cut it for the whole apartment and two units are really needed in July and August. Would also be nice if they had some kind of club house option. As the apartments are really small, and as it is completely evident it's a family-friendly area being able to host baby showers, kids birthdays, and the like would be wonderful and I would stay there longer with the play park updated and cleaned up and the club house option. Front office people are very lovely to talk with and maintenance is very competent."
"Breaking the lease was completely justified. Let's start with the utilities, I swear it felt like we had no control over our heating and ventilation system. The water was most definitely not clean enough to drink, even after we put a filter on the tap. We paid the extra expenses of buying bottled water. The exhaust system in the bathroom brought in cigarette smoke from our downstairs neighbor, who should not have been smoking within the apartment in the first place. The management takes no steps to enforce rules. The handbook they give to new residents is a joke. Their "emergency" number goes to voicemail and their management office has the strangest hours! Even if you call during business hours, you'll most likely have to leave a message and they won't get back to you. They tacked us with a $100 billing charge when we moved out for not cleaning out the fridge. I would have gladly done so had I been informed! The laundry room heats up like a volcano so you can never stand inside the room while you're putting load in or switching one out. We also ended up going to a local laundromat which was another expense we should not have been paying for while living within these "luxury" apartments. I also don't understand how the management allowed these smoking, music blasting neighbors into this community. I was kept up most nights from their music and they had the audacity to turn their volume back up after we knocked on their door. The management did nothing about our complaints that the entire building could have backed up. Overall, horrible experience. Wouldn't be surprised if their own associates are leaving the 5 star reviews"
