"My son and I absolutely love this apartment complex. Everyone seems really nice. We haven't had any issues at all. Toni from the office is absolutely amazing and so kind. She makes sure this place is quiet and peaceful for her renters. If your looking for a place to live, definitely consider Highley Hills Apartments. Your close to walmart, restaurants, gas stations and so much more. Most places are walking distance."

"I lived here for 2 years, and did maintenance for the Vietnamese family that owns this complex as well as other rental property they own, in the 2 years of doing maintenance for them, I've heard nothing but complaints from all the tenants about the way they run this place along with their other rental properties, Every county they own rental property in has a huge stack of complaints, Black mold in all the apartments in the window sills and sliding doors, siding leaks when it rains causing the inside of the apartments to get wet causing more black mold, and even mushrooms growing through the carpet, they never replace carpet when they need to, the stringers for the steps are rotted, but all they do is have the new maintenance guy screw untreated wood blocks into rotted wood which doesn't do anything, they raise the rent dramatically constantly, some people pay more for a one bedroom than others pay for their one bedroom apartment, same way with 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, they don't fix or repair things the right way, the people that run this place, her name is Toni, she's a compulsive liar about everything, and very convincing, but don't believe anything that comes out of her mouth or her family's mouth, and I just recently heard that this apartment complex is being sold to someone who plans on tearing the apartments down to build a shopping center of some sort, but when confronting them about it, they lie about it and say there not selling, so basically I wouldn't suggest renting here unless you like getting a last minute notice saying that everyone has to move out within a extremely short period of time, because if this complex gets sold then whoever buys it will start demolition as soon as possible, and the Vietnamese family that owns it won't care because they have already received all the money from selling them, so if your planning on trying to get an apartment here, DON'T, because you will regret it, trust me, if you don't believe anything I say, call the city of Desloge and the city of Farmington, and ask them about all the complaints they have on these places, then maybe you'll believe me, and trust me when I say this, there's a whole lot more things wrong with this place than I mentioned. Trust me you'd be better off finding somewhere else to live no matter how desperate you are, don't rent here. Farmington park place apartments and highley hill apartments here are definitely not worth it. Hell being homeless would be better than living here unless you enjoy getting screwed over money wise and every other way possible."

"The neighbors and landlord would take pictures of me and my guests when I first moved in. The landlord contacted me several times before 8am requesting, then later demanding, I pick up cigarettes butts that were not mine. I pay $10 a month for a parking space on top of rent. My windows FREEZE OVER on the inside during winter. They do not salt the steps or parking lot in the winter - be prepared for bruises. The laundry room locked up and I couldn’t get to my clothing for 24 hours- it’s also cheaper to go to a local laundromat instead. The neighbors are rude and nosey old white women. They only allow white curtains or blinds, no personal items on the decks. They raise the rent every time your lease is up. You pay just to breathe here. Not worth it."

"The apartments are never maintained. Rent is raised 20-25 every year, owners send out notices to not overflow the dumpster or face consequences (fines, eviction) when they could just do pickup twice a week instead of once. There is 16 units with one dumpster. They have some illegal practices here and there tbh. So yeah, not recommended at all unless you're absolutely desperate for housing. The small older lady that doesn't speak English is the only one that gets any praise, she is a hard worker and maintains the grounds and vacated apartments very well!"

"We lived here happily for four years until the apartments were sold and put under new management. New management was so terrible we left. They tried to screw us over every chance they got, maintenance was hardly ever done and when it was it wasn't done by a professional but their "handyman" they are letting live there in exchange for his work. They were hardly ever in the office, even during their posted office hours, making paying rent a pain. (And they'd blame you for it too). Don't trust them enough to leave your payment and not get a receipt- they will claim they didn't get your payment. They tried fighting for our deposit claiming they'd talked to the old owners and swearing they'd never rent an apartment out "in that condition" when the condition was one broken blind and a loose toilet seat. If I hadn't had timestamped photos of everything from the day we signed the lease I would have been out my entire deposit. They also tried to refuse to prorate my last months rent- which is illegal considering I wasn't going to be there for the full month. Only move in here if you are willing to deal with rude management that doesn't see you as anything besides a walking dollar sign."
