"Terribly disappointed with my experience here. Waited for over an hour only to watch people who arrived after me get attended to first, all because I was a new patient. The blatant disregard for my time and the rudeness of the staff was beyond frustrating. Don't waste your time here if you expect fair treatment and decent customer service."
"This place did way more harm than good. Rather than heal me, they actually pushed me into a feeling of intense despair and hopelessness with their inability to properly care for what is quite a common sports injury (torn right ACL). I have dealt with depression and anxiety my whole life, and they managed to turn what I assume to be a fairly typical procedure into an absolute nightmare of stress, causing me to feel completely hopeless about the prospect of ever repairing my knee and considering suicide as an easier alternative than dealing with US healthcare system. My first red flag was the clearly distressed and frustrated nurse who attended to me when I went in for my first appointment. They did not schedule the proper x-rays to be conducted, and it seemed clear to me that this kind of thing happens often by the heavy sigh and the quiet profanity used by the nurse when reviewing my medical chart. Nevertheless, they continued on with the consultation and scheduled my surgery for September 25th. They explained that I would need to conduct a pre-opp consultation with a doctor, as well as collect pre-opp bloodwork and a chest x-ray prior to the procedure. I asked if I needed to do anything, and was told to wait for a call from them. 3 weeks passed by, and when I finally got a hold of someone at the reception (they almost never pick up their phones on the first call, and left voicemails are not returned for at least 48 hours) and asked them about the pre-opp bloodwork, they told me that I was supposed to schedule that on my own... I asked for assistance with locating a provider because I am not well-versed in which places offer which services, and the representative directed me to a hospital that A) is nowhere near my home, and B) is not covered by my employer-based PPO plan (pretty much the one and only hospital in Chicago that I could not go to, and they managed to schedule my appointment there!) Luckily, I called my insurance company the day before the scheduled pre-opp bloodwork/chest x-ray appointment and found this out on my own. I had to cancel the pre-opp appointment and postpone my surgery to Monday, October 16th, as I would be unable to complete the preliminary bloodwork prior to my consultation with the surgeon. I managed to get the pre-opp bloodwork/chest x-ray done at a hospital only a few blocks from my home, and had it sent over to Chicago Center for Sports Medicine for their review. Everything seemed fine until I received a call this morning, stating that my surgery had actually not been scheduled yet....... despite confirmation earlier in the week that everything was OK when I called their office to confirm on Monday, October 9th.....and they tried to re-schedule me for another day at their Tinley Park location, despite my insistence that the Hyde Park location is the only that is close enough for me to get to. Fortunately, I was able to find great quality customer service at North Shore Hospital in Skokie, IL. they have a doctor's office near my home in Bucktown, and worked with me to make my experience as smooth as possible. I now have a consultation with a doctor scheduled for next week, and I expect to move forward with the surgery shortly thereafter. In short, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR ENERGY AT THIS PRACTICE. The utter incompetence almost seemed sadistic in a sense... almost as if they were trying to break me down, mentally. I simply cannot trust their surgeons based on the lack of professionalism that their front-facing staff presents. This should be a relatively easy surgery, but I can only imagine how much they could botch this up because of miscommunications, scheduling issues, and plain old apathy from their staff. They are an utter disgrace to the medical profession, and I hope that nobody ever has to deal with the mental anguish that they have caused at an already vulnerable time in life."
"I have had a lot of doctors in my day. But Dr. Gregory promised is second to none. He is very personable and he takes the time to answer all of your questions. He is not the kind of doctor that always want you take a pill for every problem you may have. He also wants you to take natural products to meet your health. It is worth your time to check him out. He has a strong support staff as well."
