"I’ve never seen a place ran so unprofessionally. I had an appointment yesterday and the place was locked up closed. I got no text or anything. I don’t know if they’re understaffed or what the deal is but this is a mental health facility. I don’t know how they get away with all of what I’ve seen."
"TLDR: Elaine, an admin. staff member @ the Kenosha office, clearly hates her job and has the *worst* attitude, she tells long-term, loyal, punctual clients that their business is not wanted at American Telehealthcare, or Telepsychiatry, or whatever they're calling themselves this week. (More below.) (Also, Elaine told me: "I don't make appointments. Call the number if you want to make another appointment with your clinician." (This is the same number that never picks up, it always goes to a machine and you leave your info to make an appt and they NEVER call you back; you must call a minimum of 5-6 times before they'll actually call you back to give you an appt with your clinician!)) Okay, so here's the tea: Today I walk in at 1:02pm for an appointment at 1pm. As usual, there's only ONE staff person in the whole building: Elaine. Ugh. 5 patients waiting in the lobby. I take a seat. I wait. Elaine is in Kathy's office with a male patient and the door is wide open, meaning all of us in the lobby can clearly make out each word he says about his mental instability and reaction to his medication, etc., breaking who knows how many HIPPA laws. After a few minutes I pop my head in the office just to say, "Shalonda's expecting me at 1, just FYI." A couple minutes later Elaine calls my name and I go in, and the first thing she says to me (no "hello,") is: "I need you to start being here on time. It's 1:08. I've already marked you as a no-show." I was dumbfounded!! I was being marked a no-show because I was waiting in their lobby!! Due to their being (chronically) understaffed!!! I replied, "I was here at 1:02." Elaine proceeded to argue with me till I said, "So what is the actual appointment time?" She said, "5 - 15 minutes ahead of the appointment." "Okay.... so which is it? 5 minutes or 15 minutes ahead?" I asked confusedly. "Just get here 15 minutes before your appointment, or you could always just look elsewhere for your healthcare needs," Elaine snapped, making sure I knew that my business is very much NOT appreciated here, and I'm disposable and not important to them. So kids, lesson for today is: At American Telehealthcarepsychiatry, your appt time isn't your ACTUAL appt time; your ACTUAL appt time is 15 minutes BEFORE your appt time... OR risk being marked as a no-show!! Just FYI! If I hadn't poked my head in the office when I did, I may have lost my entire appointment *while being RIGHT THERE in their lobby* !!! This is especially hilarious in light of how TWICE now I've shown up only to be sent home right away because, get this, my CLINICIAN is a NO-SHOW for my appt. that day!!! (Makes it esp fun when you have to arrange childcare!!) Who does that????! Elaine, I'd focus on making sure the patients feel welcome and, I don't know, maybe *not* invite them to patronize one the many other healthcare options in Kenosha!! I'd also focus less on marking waiting clients a no-show and more on processing the waiting clients, Elaine, especially when you're the only one in there! (Maybe hire more admin staff and pay them way more to attract a higher level of employee?!) PS - it is now 2:10PM!! And I'm STILL waiting to see Shalonda! My appt was for 1pm! Unbelievable, right?! Wrong. EXPECT THIS. This is NOT UNUSUAL for this place. This is THE NORM for American Telehealthcare. I budget a 90 MINUTE WAIT every time I come! But don't bother bringing it up - they'll just invite you to take your business elsewhere!!"
"If you really want to get on the right track and find medical help that genuinely cares, Go somewhere else! I met a Dr here that discusses other patients personal info in front of other patients, also giving completely incorrect info about medication availability. They take forever to fix their mistakes then do that half right, plus terrible attitudes to top it off. Just all around not professional. A facility like this will suddeny shut down and leave patients scrambling, I've unfortunately been through that once before, and it looks like this place. The lady at the front desk and the older nurse were nice and helpful, though."
"This place was an absolute nightmare. I waited for 1.5 hours to see the doctor on the screen. The doctor's name was Kim, she asked me only a couple of questions and then said I didn't have ADHD. I was diagnosed 13 years ago after I finally got health insurance. Every doctor since has diagnosed me with ADHD. This doctor shouldn't be practicing. She had none of my records on file from the state of Wisconsin, which makes absolutely no sense. I offered to give her proof of the ADHD medication I was on previously and she refused to accept it. This is the 7th doctor/vet this year that has been extremely rude and lied to me in the Kenosha area. Nobody in these doctors offices are wearing a mask typically. I've had long Covid since March and nearly died from it multiple times during that time. I'm very disappointed and hope Kim the psychiatrist leaves the field. She wants to talk down to people and ignore the patient. It's disgusting and unacceptable. I would rate lower if it was possible."
"I hate this place! They are so unprofessional and inconsistent! If it wasn't for my psychiatrist I would never return here again! Elaine the "lead" is horrific! Has no kind of ethic, integrity or professionalism. They have been through a lot of staff and no one seems to stay. I wish they'd find good professional caring people to stay and do their job right. The ladies that were there in the past that had any kind of care and sensitivity toward the patients are all gone. Management needs to re evaluate and re staff asap! This clinic is a horror going to once a month."
