"One of the absolute worst experiences I’ve had living somewhere. My car got broken into, they did nothing. 100s of cars were broken into in the 11.5 months I was there, and nothing was done about that either. My car was stolen from the parking lot and they wouldn’t even let me park in the garage while I had the rental. They charge you WAYYY too much when moving out, they swallowed my deposit whole and then came back for more money. Incredibly greedy, and they do not give a **** about you. I cannot recommend you don’t live here enough."
"I lived here on the third floor corner in 2017-2018. The rent was just about $1000 for 2bd/2ba. It included washer and dryer and I loved the dog park. I think this was the best apartment I'll have ever lived in. Too bad the red brick folks didn't take care of the trash rooms. The apartments look exactly the same as when they did when I moved out. It's sad reading such poor reviews. This part of stl is rough. Being across from the park is amazing and close to highways and grocery. At the end of the day if you're from STL you're probably used to some level of crime so minor property theft is scary and I don't want to diminish it. It's something to be addressed for sure. I felt safe at the time here and I am sure things have changed since then. I hope new building owners are able to increase safety. Is there still garage parking as well? There was controversy about that while I lived there but maybe there's a way it can play a role in improving safety there. I do have one question, is the second smaller bedroom still windowless? In retrospect that doesn't seem safe for fire evac purposes. Hope they loosen the pet rules soon, it seems to be causing some issues with limited negative impact. There's concrete floors and you really can't hear anything until you're in the hallways. Anyway, all that to say I miss this architecture and I hope it improves a bit for the unhappy folks still living there."
"if you want paper thin walls so thin you could hear a pen drop, please live here. Or robbed. They also charged me $3000 for "repainting"..... the walls were clean and it did not need repainted. Even it if it did would not cost anywhere near $3000. These people will let you stay till your lease is up so they can take your deposit money and charge you even more just to send to collections. LOOK AT ALL THE REVIEWS STATING THEY REFUSED TO RENEW A LEASE. Thanks for the collection, i disputed it and got it erased from my credit."
"New management here is much better than the last one from Red Brick. They are much more caring on maintenance which is a double plus in my books. The building is kept clean. It is cozy too. The building is being fixed up and slowly becoming better and better. But this building is not even midway to to decent because of lack of security. My biggest complaint is the parking and Perennial Ale. Their patrons come and fill the parking lot in the evenings and this can go on through the early to mid evenings on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays and Saturdays. This wouldn't be a problem if there weren't so many vehicle break ins. The parking lot closest to the building have cameras and lighting, but the parking across is poorly maintained, dark, and have no cameras to deter less determined thieves. The streets are no better either as vehicle break ins happen there too. A neighbor noticed their car lock was really messed up one morning. A sign someone was trying to break into their vehicle. A robbery happened in the parking lot some time ago too. Someone was robbed, threaten by someone with a weapon. With the Perennial Ale's patrons taking up space closest to the building through most of the evenings, this forces renters to park on the street or poorly lit parking lot. I was a victim of such vehicle break ins a few years ago under Red Brick Management and had a few items belonging to me stolen my vehicle. Since then, I refuse to park anywhere else. I have to wait 10 minutes or a half an hour just for a parking space to open so my car is under the lights and cameras. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Now criminals are either tenants or finding their way into the garage and stealing items inside vehicles. Another neighbor was prepping for a event the night before and filled his car. Next day all his belongings are gone. Nothing can be done as his car was in a blind spot. They have cameras but not covering all over. There are tons of blind spots. This makes it difficult to have on file for insurance and to possibly catch the culprits. And with Covid making employment a little worse each year, and people being laid off and job hunting becoming harder than ever, more homeless people are roaming. Even around this area. Some taken up residency under the I-55 overpass and abandoned structures near by. It is only a matter of time before the more desperate homeless will target vehicles and property in the area, and the Temtor's street and parking lots have plenty of vehicles to choose from. And management does not seem to have put any effort into making it safer for tenants, patrons and their properties. I hope they do something about it soon, and not ignore it. It is reckless abandonment to ignore security issues. The picture I've uploaded is a security camera vehicle looted sometime when it was dark in the Temtor's main parking lot."
