"Dr. Morris-Christian is amazing. She takes her time and explains everything and I’m so grateful for that. My daughter helped me find Dr. Morris-Christian and I’ve been happy ever since."
"I have been a patient at Friendly Family Medical Care since Dr. Tisa M-Christian opened her practice. She has taken excellent care of me over the years. She is always available to answer my questions to ensure that I get the proper care. The staff is prompt in providing services, minimizing waiting time. The doctor takes time to speak with me and doesn’t rush through the examination. I feel comfortable with her Also I would like to add that Friendly Family Medical Care uses a proactive medical monitoring of my condition. This process is thorough and helps me keep track of my health (diet, exercise, appts, meds) so as not to be reactive. I would never consider changing to another doctor! Friendly Family Medical Care is great!!"
"Update: Pertaining to your response which I just noticed. I was not 20 minutes late to the appointment. I was 7 minutes late to the appointment. It was out first time to this office and there was minimal parking outside of this building and we had to park in front of another business office. But it was still well within the 15 minute grace period when we entered the office. No, I did not complete in the paperwork prior to the appointment as requested and as an RN myself I am aware that this is not an unusual occurrence but the look that I received when I informed the office staff that I had not been able to complete was not nice. And given my familiarity of my sons many conditions and my familiarity with medical documentation this was completed before we met with the doctor. With regards to the rushed part It just so happened that my son went to the bathroom at the end of the appointment. I was in the middle of putting on my 11month old daughters coat at the end of the appointment and placing her back in her carrier. I would not have had an issue with waiting for my son in the waiting room to return from the restroom when I completed that. I wasn't just sitting in the room waiting for him to be done in the restroom. What would this have taken another 2-3 minutes? This was an initial appointment for an assessment and a Physical. With a physical comes documentation. While I appreciate the rapidity with which the paperwork was returned to me this does not mean that we were being allotted time for unexpected questions. This was not a follow-up it was a physical. A total body physical and all that entails weather it was one issue or 20. Also, I had a non-Saturday appointment initially scheduled. But when I was called to confirm the details of the appointment I was informed that I had been scheduled with the NP. I was not informed this at the time the appointment was scheduled. While I am sure that there are very competent NP's out there, and again being an RN myself I have seen some that can run circles around doctors when it comes to being concerned for their patients and with follow up and being attentive. However, given the level of disabilities that my son has and his complicated diagnosis I, as his mother, felt that it was in his best interest to have his initial appointment be with the Medical Doctor. Also, we were trying to obtain a primary care doctor, it just makes sense, to me at least, that we meet with who will be coordinating his care. Especially for the first visit. Thus, I was scheduled for the next available appointment which just so happened to be a Saturday appointment. Given the prime nature of the weekend appointments it would probably behoove your office not to schedule appointments for physicals on the weekends with brand new patients. Unconcerned, dry, impersonal, rushed. I had such hopes coming from the city to a new area where representation is scarce. I’m going to keep looking."
"My sister and I have been seeing Dr. Christian ever since we moved to Tinley Park ten years ago. We found her to be warm, sincere and really concerned about our health problems. She has helped us find other qualified physicians in specified fields. She has filled out papers if she thought they would help us obtain needed funds. We are in our nighties now and she willingly listens to our questions and doesn’t seem to mind if we ask the same questions because we have difficulty understanding. Not only do I think of her as my physician, but time in life, I think of her as a friend."
