Reviews of Highland Park Animal Hospital
"Do not go to this vet: This vet service has gone down the drain. Second year in a row where I leave frustrated that I’ve paid for animal care that they haven’t provided, or charged me for things I did not agree to pay for then would not refund me for administering things I did not specifically agree to have done to my animal. This time, I paid for two vet visits and did not visit with a vet for either appointment. The tech said they didn’t have the medical records for one of my dogs and then blamed me for delay of the appointment until I was able to physically prove I sent all medical records for the dog way back at the beginning of September. Then they didn’t listen to me when I said something was wrong and didn’t tell the vet or let me visit with them, even though I paid for a vet visit. Not a tech visit. Now I have to come in again 5 days later because my dog has gotten worse and after already laying $900+ they sent me a quote for another $100 of which, could have been avoided if I had simply visited with the vet, like I paid for. *In response to your comment, read more specifically what I said/wrote and paid for. I paid for a vet visit, I not one visited with the vet. I never spoke to or interacted with a vet like I have in the past. IF the vet had taken the time to visit with me, as I paid for a vet visit, my dog would not be in need of a $100 lab test. The vet would have heard my account and realized she needed to be put on medicine before incurring open sores and bleeds. To charge me for a lab fee that could have been all-together avoided with the proper antibiotic, simply because the vet did not visit with me when I paid for it, is unethical and robbery. I paid for a service I did not receive. I paid for a vet visit, to visit with the vet. I only visited with the tech and did not communicate the full scope of the issue because I was waiting for the vet to come in, like they usually do to VISIT with me, the paying customer."
"Dr. Wright and her team were friendly, timely, and great with my dog. I specifically saw Dr. Wright because she performs the knee surgery that my dog previously had done and so I trusted her opinion and physical exam. She reviewed all of my dogs records prior to seeing her and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend her for any general or orthopedic dog needs! The office and facility were also very nice!"
"Dr. Henry has always taken the absolute best care of my dogs for the last 10 years! All the other doctors we have seen including Dr. Wright, Dr. Hudson and others have also been so great! I’m so grateful for all the wonderful care and kindness my crew have always received here and will continue bringing them here for all their needs!"
"Had to have my buddy stay a few nights here to recover from a skin infection. He’s a 14 year old golden doodle and they treated him well and carefully for his condition and old age. They gave me in depth instruction for his medication and proper care for taking him home. He’s doing well and I am treated up for these considerate veterinary doctors and technicians. Thank y’all!"
"HPAH has been a great change up from my usual animal clinic. I used to go to another one around here, but was always faced with extremely long appts, waiting for sometimes three hours for an answer of what's going on with my GSD's stomach issues. Since switching to HPAH, I have received impeccable care, great pricing despite being in Highland Park, and I always see the most adorable puppies in here. I'm always taken back within minutes of waiting and they do most of the testing on site which keeps my appointments fast and reliable. Plus, I love the adoptable cat room, the kitties there are so sweet and fun to play with! I've personally met all the Doctors there, and they are all so friendly and approachable. Dr. Wright is who my German Shepherd sees and I have 0 complaints, but if I could use all the docs I would! You really can't go wrong here. Plus, the hospital is gorgeous and well maintained. There's always nice cars in the parking lot which explains the kind of clientele drawn here. Overall, very pleased with this hospital and plan to be a client for years to come!"
