"My youngest daughter, was diagnosed withType 1 Diabetes, in 2009, and she'd just turned 9, in March. She was doing really well in the beginning, I'd say the first year and a half or so, she was doing pretty good, her blood sugars were ok, but then all of a sudden, her blood sugars are getting higher, and higher, until they were usually, somewhere between like 350-601+, so needless to say, a short while after that, one of her toes had gotten really swollen, and one day after school, I had taken her to the Walgreen's walk in clinic, she looked at it, and gave me the name of a Dr., over at the Foot and Ankle Clinic, and she was so scared, well it wound up being infected, so he wound up doing surgery on her toe, that day, and she was crying, and carrying on, and there was the Surgeon, his Nurse Assistant, and another Assistant, and they were all kinda talking to her all at once, sort of, they were asking her questions, and she would answer, and they had her laughing, and mind you, they had already put on the topical anisthetic, which she knew about, they told her everything they were going to do, and everything they were doing, right before they did it, they're like would it be ok, if we put some of this on your toe, ok, now can we do this, and all of a sudden, she was like, I think I'm ready for you to do the surgery, on my big toe now, and we all kind of giggled, and she's like hey, what's so funny, and the Dr., was like, you were a great, terrific patient, and she's like, what do you mean I was great, he says cuz sweetie, I'm already done, and in a few minutes, after my Assistant's are done explaining how you need to take care of it at home, then you can actually go home, and rest your foot, make sure you put it up, and relax, you did great, she cried, she couldn't believe, that first of all, that it was over with already, and he was done, and secondly, cuz she didn't even feel it. So, I want to say, that if I knew someone that needed a Foot and Ankle Specialist, they'd be the 1st, and only Dr's Office, that I would send anybody to. They're the most wonderful, caring, hospitable Dr's Office that I've ever been to or seen. Thanks so much for taking great care of my baby."
