"I can honestly say after 8 years that residents mean nothing here. There is one washer dryer between 12 apartments, a pool that sometimes opens. I went last year for three months without a water heater and called six weeks ago to report my dishwasher out and no one has been near. The property managers come and go as do the maintenance workers. Now there is a new company in Louisville who has taken over. They gave residents delinquent two weeks to vacate. Absolutley ridiculous. Oh and I got bed bugs too and the manager tried to make me pay for the treatment but couldn't show me anything in the lease that said that. My advice DO NOT move here. Tell your friends and family. Only bright spot location is great and rooms are large and that's myone star."
"May 1st 2018 I moved here after I gave them my money. The toilet was in the living room window was broken in bedroom with a cardboard laying on the ground as if someone kicked it in. Air conditioning was not working, light fixtures were hanging paint droplets every where and there were a multitude of other issues. It took over a month for them to rectify the situations. Then August 9 the main sewage line backed up into my apartment leaving 6 in of raw sewage. It took two days for them to get the water out . After complaining that the apartment needed to be cleaned they sent a porter with a mop a mop bucket and a small bottle of bleach water. I was so fed up that I called corporate. Two more days and it was professionaly cleaned. I asked for another unit I was told 30 days. The furnace was serviced 8 days later. In the meantime I have mold, no mold remediation, cleaning poop out the cracks with qtip, water in the floorboards and the furnace flooded twice with no heat. Today I was given anotjer unit but was forced to sign a lease that starts today instead of continuing from may. I was told " either you sign this because it's a different apartment or stay in the one you're in". what kind of option is that? My rent is paid and I continued to pay cause I've never had an eviction. The turn over is rediculous we now have a third maintanience guy and a second property manager. No type of compensation has been offered for me losing practically everything due to their deferred maintenance. This has been the most stressful living experience in my life. The only person they should be referred to is the news as they are taking advantage of people."
"They were very accommodating on getting us into the apt. The woman who is the receptionist is as helpful as one can be with a poor support system. The unit was spacious, especially for the price, and they boasted having put down hardwood flooring. Having 2 people in the kitchen is frustrating. Now the downside…When we moved in we weren't shown the apartment under the premise that the person was too busy (she's no longer there). The hardwood floors were laminate tiles glued down to the concrete. The bath, dining room floor, and refrigerator were dirty. The dishwasher purged water onto the floor. We weren’t aware of the damage due to a lack of lighting. WASH:There is one washer/dryer in the connecting hall of 12 units. Luckily the building I stayed in had decent tenants who were prompt with the machines. MAINT:They don't wear uniforms. There are no peepholes to check before opening the door. The on-call person rarely responds to emergency calls. We had an outlet start sparking on 2 occasions. Both times we had to turn the power off, then call again the next morning. At one time there was a gas leak and were told to relight the pilot ourselves (after explicitly being told not to). Another time the on-call responder brought his child into my unit while I was home. The biggest complaint was of a sewage smell in our bathroom. Maintenance and the manager showed up on 4 different occasions before making any repairs. The repair consisted of the man using my plunger to jam the sealing foam into the hole, then using my toilet paper to clean up his mess. This issue was NEVER resolved, but we grew tired of people coming with no resolution or plan. PARKING:There are no assigned spots, the spaces are narrow, and people are inconsiderate. I have dents, dings, and scratches in my doors from carelessness. The lot is poorly maintained in inclement weather. BUGS:There is NO keeping up with the spider population. WEATHER:We had a first floor unit, which is actually the basement. Every time it rained water came in through that external wall. When reported we were told, “it had to go somewhere.” We had to pull stuff away from that wall and keep a mop handy every time it rained. LEAVING:The new apartment kept changing our move date. The receptionist was a GREAT help and still VERY accommodating. The manager, however, did not seem to have full disclosure on what was going on with the move and ended up hindering parts of the process. He also tried to withhold part of my deposit."
"DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. You worked to hard to just give it away. I currently live here, 2016-2017 lease. I'm not happy. Nothing works. My drains don't work. It took 5 days for my tub to drain. My A/C doesn't work, emergency maintenance called but never showed up, fat bastard told me to cut the fan on. My toilets are possessed. They erupt, I have rental insurance. The drain in hallways erupt, I have seen crap and the smell, OMG. The toilet in the apartment above mine was leaking urine and other toilet juice, it just leaked all over my master restroom. None of the amenities work. My mailbox is broke, the security door, broke, can't buzz anyone in. Some doors don't lock. The pool has been broke for 4 years and counting. My bathroom exhaust fans are broke. It's just bad. Parking lot full of snow and ice. People slide into the cubes trying to get In and out of this place and break axles and more. Side walks or steps, no ice or snow removal. Management horrible, seen 4 different property managers. So many maintenance men quit or get fired. Had one let a ex girlfriend in my apartment. No information needed. Trash all over the place. Dumpster overflowing with trash. My truck was stolen from the premises. Hoodlums hanging out. No place for kids tone. No play areas. They act like they just don't care."
"Hillcrest Suckssssssssss .. They Don't Never Wanna Give Anyone Their Deposit Back .. They're Really Slow When It Comes To Maintenance Work!!! Their Plumbing Sucks Very Old .. They Can't Never Keep A Property Manager (That Should Say Enough) I Stayed There For 1 Year & They Had 4 Different Property Managers ! It's Not Worth They Need To Remodel Also .. Their Maintenance Crew Isn't To Be Trusted They Come Into Your Apartments While You're Gone & Take Things & Eat Your Food !"
