"The last 5 years have been all I expected and more!! The Managers, Susan and Alen, have always gone above and beyond to accommodate my family and I. The grounds keeper, Miguel, is the best at keeping the property well maintained and beautified. You can always count on maintenance to respond quickly to requests even if they can’t resolve the issue at that moment. I love this location also because it’s close to everything! I can go on and on about this great community! I love it!!"
"I would not recommend this apartment complex. We’ve been here less than a year and have had numerous problems. There was even a shooting in our parking lot that blocked off an entrance to the complex. Our neighbors are anything but neighborly. They are creepy and selfish and incredibly two faced. Their maintenance team is completely useless. We had flooding problems, mold problems, and general household and some problems are not even fixed yet. You would think with the prices of rent being so high we could have competent staffing but apparently that is too much to ask for. During the end of July and beginning of August our AC unit went out. I submitted a maintenance ticket and was told the next day it was fixed. Well it clearly wasn’t fixed and our apartment got up to 82 degrees. They eventually gave us a portable unit for our bedroom after submitting multiple tickets. But our thermostat was still reading 78-82 degrees. We were left without ac for two weeks. So I work night shift and I’m asleep during the day. Then the maintenance crew came in at 2pm, which is the middle of my night. Two men came into my bedroom saying “maintenance” I barely had time to wake up before they came into my bedroom. Then they told me the ac was fixed and turned off the portable ac unit. And then they left. It was honestly so scary as a women having two strangers come into my bedroom with no notice while I was asleep. And when I called the management to tell them what happened they really didn’t do anything about it."
"I was fortunate to consider the Villages at General Grant my home for over eight years. The highlight of residing there was its close proximity to STL City, parks, restaurants, I-44, and the exceptional staff, including Dawn, Alan, and Tracy. I enthusiastically suggest General Grant to anyone in search of a wonderful community."
"I have lived at this apartment complex for 3 years now, and have only good things to say. The area is nice, maintenance is reliable, the pool is FANTASTIC and the leasing office are extremely helpful and understanding. The complex is regularly landscaped, located close to Webster University campus and a nice gas station is within walking distance. You can use nails to hang pictures on the wall, and you can paint the walls as long as you paint them back before you move out. The only problem I have is the laundry machines are very expensive at $1.50 per machine, and they also have a tendency to break down."
"I have now lived here for over a month, and so far it has been great! Its a charming area and peaceful apartment community. People mostly keep to themselves. Units are decent and have a good atmosphere. They have natural light, which was important to me, and I was surprised to see a brick feature wall in my unit when I moved in. The units are not perfect because the buildings are older, but the apartment staff and maintenance are responsive and friendly. So far, I’m happy with my choice for my first apartment."
