"saw dr. mendoza here for about 5 years before finally switching psychiatrists last summer. the ladies at the front desk have always been extremely rude, and they never failed to sound annoyed and condescending, especially over the phone. i even had to argue with dr. mendoza himself one time because he refused to refill the same meds ive been taking since 2018, all because of a miscommunication on his end. all in all, it was that horrible, extremely unprofessional phone call and 5 long years of poor communication that finally convinced me to switch doctors. please do not go here!"

"I’ve been seeing the same doctor for ten years. Every staff member always greets me with a smiling face. I feel as sense of release when I visit my doctor. She truly cares for me and she’s shown it."

"Yeah no thanks. My son had an apt here. We all wound up with COVID. Like too sick to get out of bed. We wound up missing my sons apt. Not on purpose, but we were extremely sick. I tried getting my son back in, but the lady on the phone was extremely condescending and said ‘If you skip out on an apt we refuse to schedule another apt with you’ and I tried to explain we had COVID and I literally couldn’t even get out of bed without passing out, and I wasn’t exactly paying attention to my calendar because we were extremely sick. She didn’t care. She was rude and condescending. I’ll be filing a report against them now. Just know, if you have Medicaid, and they boot you from the practice, call Medicaid and file a complaint against them. Medicaid is more than willing to file a complaint against a provider who isn’t following their contract with them."

"Waited over 6 months for my first appointment just to get a diagnosis. The doctor sometimes practices at a different office and that is the address we had. Went for the appointment and he wasn't there, he was at the other office. So we asked if we could run over there and they said no, we have to reschedule for over a month away. I am depressed, have CPTSD, anxiety, bipolar 1, ADHD, and am suicidal. I won't make it another month, I've already barley been surviving for 6 months! It threw me into a meltdown and I self-harmed because they made me feel SO alone. They didn't care at allll. We had tried to call a few months ago because I was struggling. I just asked if someone cancels, can they let me know so I can get in sooner because I'm afraid and they said "they don't do that". I just want HELP. IM ASKING FOR HELP so I can live for my kids and not cry all the time. I can't do this anymore. They are the absolute worst place to ask for mental health support. They 100% do NOT care if you're in a crisis and need medication. I'm on my own at this point, after 6 months of waiting. I had hope, they gave me HOPE that I could get through this and then they stomped on it and threw it away."

"1 star is being generous. This is, without a doubt, the worst run medical office I've ever encountered. I called 4 weeks ago and asked them, "are you taking any new patients?" They didn't answer me that direct question, just told me to fill out their paperwork and fax it in and they'd contact me within 2 weeks. So, I spent all that time filling out the paperwork and then went to fax it in. Their fax machine wasn't working. I tried over and over again and the fax wouldn't go through. So, I decided to mail it. I let two weeks go by, then a third, and I finally get tired of waiting and call. I called shortly before 1:45 PM. I tell them that I need to find out where we are at on the paperwork. They tell me I'll need to talk to the woman that handles the paperwork for new patients, but that she's still out to lunch. AT 1:45 PM IN THE AFTERNOON! They transfer me to her voicemail and I leave her a very clear voicemail. I ask her to call me back. I didn't hear anything from her, so I call again at 4:30 PM. They tell me she's GONE FOR THE DAY! Again, I get transferred to her voicemail and leave her another message. I got busy over the course of the next few days until I get a nice letter in the mail. It's from Amarillo Psychiatric Associates and it says that they are not taking on any new patients. ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME???? I asked ONE MONTH AGO if they were taking on new patients, they could've told me then. Instead, I wasted an entire month of my life thanks to these clowns when I could've contacted someone else. I wish I could give ZERO stars. I wish I could take stars away from the good reviews. Forget the good reviews from years ago. Instead, look at these last few reviews and notice that there is a pattern here. Don't waste your time with these clowns. Look for someone else."
