"Please spare yourself and do NOT rent with Lerch. The unit I lived in had mold all over bathroom ceiling, broken closet doors that would literally fall on me, a dirty dishwasher, stains all over the bathtub, & cockroaches when I moved in. Of course, it took them over two years to do anything about the cockroaches. By that point, the roaches had gotten worse and i had all my kitchen utensils locked in a container and was forced to eat out because it was so unsanitary- and yet they still raised rent over $100. The air quality of the building was also horrible, even if we had new air filters and i had sinus problems that went away after i moved out. Washers and dryers were always broken. Worst landlords and living situation ever. So glad it’s over. I attached some roach pictures."
"Lerch is okay. The office has nothing to do with Maintenance so you could be waiting days or you could be waiting months for simple maintenance request. For instance, I requested a screen door for my living room window in November maintenance told me they are still waiting for it to be delivered. A lot of the apartments are also outdated with very mix matched appliances. I had to contact the better business bureau to get any of my maintenance requests answered. It is now the end of my lease and I have been waiting a month for my security deposit. EVERYTHING LERCH DOES outside of you signing the lease with them is third party so BEWARE because they will tell you quickly there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO SINCE IT IS ALL DONE BY A THIRD PARTY!"
"(apartment address 240 Skyline View Drive Collinsville il) moved in November 22 thought the apartment was nice however it was not move in ready by any means they vanity in the bathroom was completely busted and unusable for weeks after I moved in(I stated this and several other issues prior to signing the lease and was assured it'd be fixed before move in) the floors are uneven, there was mold growing all over the windows and bathroom, then as the weather got warmer bees started coming out. I contacted maintenance and leasing office several times but was told there's nothing to be done because the bees were just passing through. later I found out from a neighbor the bees have been her over 2 years. they refused to transfer my lease to another unit or have the bees taken care of. would not recommend living here"
"I have tried to contact maintenance and they seem to cherry pick what they can and cannot do. Don’t ever expect a response from lerch properties about the MANY things that will go wrong in the apartment. None of the washers work in my building. None of the lights outside currently work and it is pitch black in the parking lot. Giant spiders outside of the building that no one can seem to spray although they claim to do outdoor pest control. These apartments are cheap and very, very old. People who answer the phones are very much not helpful and don’t care once you sign a lease. Leaks all the time in my apartment, lights go out all the time. Go elsewhere when renting. Save the headache. As of today, no one has come by despite my maintenance requests left weeks ago."
"Owner and maintenance are whatever. Never really had an issue. But to the guys who pull out carpet and ride around and pick up trash and do what not, they are awesome. Some of the coolest people I have ever met and if you ever see one of them out and about give him a wave cause they are doing God’s work. Places get trashy very easily because of careless people, but these guys are quick to it and fun to talk to."
