"My boyfriend has been without hot water for a week & no heat for 3 days now. Keep being told it’s been fixed, but it has yet to be. It January so it very cold & when they turned the gas off, they failed to notify us so we had no idea what was going on. They just keep telling us it will be fixed “today”, but has yet to be fixed. Called to speak to the people in the leasing office & they did not care at all, offered no apologies or solutions."
"I've had several family members who've lived at Colonial Meadows for over 20 years until now. Several years ago, I remember walking in and the management rudely speaking over me immediately telling me there wouldn't be any space available for 6 months before I could even introduce myself. I'm certain there were some spaces open. They probably just needed extra maintenance and were backed up for the apartment fire they had. The area and apartments really aren't that bad for the price. I've never had a personal bad experience the many times I visited here since my childhood. Of course, maintenance could be better also. The surrounding area is not the safest, but it's generally safe here for the most part. Pretty good deal for the price."
"I lived here for almost 7 years. When I moved in, everything was fine. The women working in the leasing office were pretty cool, maintenance would come and fix things with a quickness, and overall it was very affordable. After a few years of staying there, I noticed things began to change. Maintenance guys wouldn’t properly fix things, it was rumored that the landlord couldn’t keep maintenance workers, and the women in the leasing office didn’t seem to care about issues that were reported to them. In 2020, I noticed water damage on the ceiling in my bedroom. I reported it to the women in charge, and nothing was done about it. In Jan. 2021, I came home to my bedroom ceiling leaking water due to heavy rain that night. My carpet was soaked. It took them two months to get someone out to find the leak and temporarily fix it. Months later, I noticed black mold and informed them of this issue. Again they did nothing. Finally, in Oct. 2021, maintenance came to scrape the mold off of the ceiling and repaint the ceiling. They so called treated the soaked carpet using a carpet cleaner. Unfortunately, mold was in the carpet. By the beginning of 2022, my ceiling started leaking again. I informed them of this issue, and they did nothing. The women kept giving me false promises of maintenance coming to look at my ceiling to plug the leak again. In April, apparently “someone” broke into all of the basements in the complexes and stole copper to the ac units causing so many ppl to be without central air. On top of preexisting issues my apartment was no longer habitable. I ended up leaving and moving in with my dad. I officially moved out July 31st and bought my first home less than two months later. Colonial Meadows was cool some yrs back, but they definitely ruined renting for me. I was so disappointed in how things turned out while dealing with them. You simply get what you pay for. If you can find better than these apartments, pls do so!"
"I've been here nearly 30 yrs. I've read good, bad, and indifferent reviews. I personally have enjoyed my years here for the most part and feel lucky to be here until the last couple of years. None of which has.to do with management. The one person I had issues with her attitude is gone now. You can't choose neighbors unfortunately. The maintenance crew is pretty good about getting to whatever issues you have in a reasonable amount of time depending on it's severity. Overall the rent is quite reasonable for a small space. I do appreciate being able to save a bit of cash with the low rent and hope management doesn't sell the place."
"This is The best apartment that I have had in my life. The maintenance is always kept up to par and if you have any issues they will come out the same day. For the price point I would recommend this property to anyone who’s looking."
