"I gained a lot of knowledge through this program about depression and anxiety, how it affects my everyday life and how I can cope with it. This program also brought back some stability into my life, going from not working and having no where to go everyday, to having this commitment and getting myself out of the house every morning. I learned skills like how to identify my emotions and how to act on them when appropriate, and one of my biggest take-away’s is, I may not have the power to control my emotions or how something makes me feel, but I do have control over my actions and my words. I highly encourage, if you’re going through a dark spot in your life, to give therapy at Sandstone at try. The hardest part of it all was the anxiety I felt on the first day, but I was instantly welcomed and made to feel important and heard throughout my time at Sandstone."

"Seamless transition from residential treatment at the Cascade CO location to Buffalo Grove IL location for IOP. Everyone we have met and worked with including insurance verification, intake, assessment, treatment, care, medication management, insurance management, discharge, transition, etc. have been exceptionally helpful and have gone above and beyond during this really difficult time in our lives. My husband and I have learned a lot through the parent support groups and family therapy sessions. My child has grown in self awareness, self love, and sobriety. My child has learned strategies that have been also taught to us (her family and biggest support system) so that generalization into the "real world" can be successful. The staff at Sandstone appear to live and breath to serve, care for and treat our adolescents and teens. They have seen it all, done it all, and worked through it all. I cannot say enough positive statements about our experience thus far."
