"Please, stay far.. far away from this place. I was botched and Dr. Sharma, lied to AND he wanted money to dissolve it! I made an appointment for under eye filler (tear trough) directly with Dawn. First I was sent the wrong address leading me to someone’s house, should have been red flag number one. After paying CASH because in Dawns words “Cash is king” when I asked cash or card, it came time to the paperwork they had Radiesse listed as the injection as well as having all the paperwork for Radiesse. I advised that I was getting Restalyne NOT Radiesse, I was told “they’re the same, we ran out of Restalyne information paperwork” even though it was just print off’s. I was then brought into the room and told not to wear my mask (from the moment I walked in the business). I can see pulling it down to access the eyes easier but taking it off completely and laughing and joking about Covid is not good business practice. The doctor came in and seemed very unsure about the procedure. He started injecting a SMALL amount under the eye and smearing the product from far left to far right (think of a windshield wiper). Now here’s the BIG problem.. He injected in one spot on both my cheek bones causing one massive overfilled bubble on both cheeks. He was injecting my Mallard Lumps! Now mallard lumps are hereditary and usually filler is placed above the lumps/around the lumps to even everything out.. NOT injected into them enhancing their size. I asked if he was going to get actually under the eye more and closer to the actually tear area..and he said he did. A little over two weeks went by and the cheeks look like two spider bites on both sides. I called in and immediately said something needs to be done since most of the product is in my cheek, in the mallard lumps and not under my eyes. I went back in and Dr. Sharma proceeded to tell me he NEVER injected in those areas!! Luckily I took photos right after he injected showing his needle marks, so I showed him. He fumbled over his words then redacted what he said and mumbled off “well that area was hollow”. Just so you all know that area was not hollow, I actually pride myself on my cheeks and now their botched. The doctor then said “I can fix it but it will cost you about $150 to dissolve” Yes, that’s right he wanted me to pay him for his mistake.. I want to be clear in that I did not want anything free from this place, I did not go in with intentions to have this happen, no one does. Once the swelling and bruising went away after a few weeks I just wanted it to be fixed.. which the Dr. did not do.. horrible, just horrible. ***Please stay far away from The Face Place and also Shape as I believe they are the same. Listen to my warning and stay far, far away as I am now paying someone else to dissolve and re-inject*** Again, you have been warned, just wait for the the cruel and rude comment from them on this.. they are NOT good people. Go anywhere other than here, I found a fabulous place in Tinley Park that dissolved this doctors mess and used LESS product, though they didn’t inject into my mallard lumps. You have been warned!! Update: I have attached photos to this review but they keep getting removed... seems a little suspicious. Also this review was posted MONTHS ago, I simply was deleting photos off my phone and came across my botched filler job done by these people so I thought I would attach them to this review."

"I'd love to share my three positive experiences with Marie who is the owner and Esthetician of Face place Medi Spa because I am pleased with my results and I will continue to return monthly for more! I first went to Marie this past summer because my skin was looking dull. I had invested in a series of micro current facials at a prominent spa downtown but I did not get the results I had hoped for. I found Marie online here in Schaumburg and once we chatted briefly she encouraged me to come in and try a 70% lactic acid peel to help make my skin toner brighter again. It worked! I felt like I had made a good investment in trusting her and this was the first medical grade peel I had ever had so I noticed the results immediately. During our session she had me hold onto a mini fan so that my skin would be cooler. After the peel she let me enjoy a combination of carrier oils that hydrate the skin with pure lavender essential oil kept warm under a hot towel to calm down my skin. After a few moments she cooled down my skin with peppermint essential oils and it not only felt refreshing but I am a real lover of aromatherapy and I have a huge collection of essential oils of my own that I love to use on a daily basis. I was sold! About a month later I started to receive invites to Marie's botox and raffle parties so last week I finally participated and took advantage of the greatly reduced price of botox for that evening with Dr. Sharma who was very honest and suggested only 20 units of botox for a small crease between my brows that always bother me. I enjoyed socializing with all of Marie's family and clients who she treats like close friends. I even won a special moisturizing cream at the raffle so I am enjoying it now as I write this review. My third visit with Marie was yesterday afternoon and I opted for the Lactic Acid peel again because I love the glow. Yesterday evening my skin was so shiny and healthy looking I noticed a couple of men staring straight at my face ;) !! I am sure any woman who needs some special TLC will appreciate Marie's approach to natural beauty. You will leave feeling refreshed, listened to and the affects will last for more than just "a few days". I also enjoy asking questions during my treatments and Marie is more than happy to educate you and help you understand what steps to take to achieve the best results for your skin type. I will continue to return here and make use of Marie's wonderful skills!"

With that said, I LOVE coming here for my skin needs. Marie who is the owner for the spa and the person that does my facials is a 'GOD SENT"! Not only is she professional, knowledgeable and cares about your skin, she is an all around sweet person. When you are on her table, you can just relax and know that she will take care of your facial needs and you will be educated at the same time. That is why I have been going to her for so many years and will definitely continue to go to her for years to come. Keep up the good work!"
