"“Doctor” Sharon Beck is a joke. Has no respect my name. Calls me some other name I have specifically asked her to not call me, nor does she even look at you in the eye when she talks to you. Just sits with her nose buried in her laptop facing away from me. Very unprofessional. She has even answered a personal phone call during a session. Most of the “session” she sits in silence typing on her computer. Has prescribed me the wrong medication before. And goes on vacation leaving her patients stranded for that time. Do Not Go Here. Terrible “doctor” should have credentials revoked. There’s a reason she is always accepting new patients."
"I have been a customer here for years and Genesis Cinical Services, SC does well considering just how horribly inefficient and patently obstructionist and profiteering the US Healthcare System and especially the Medicare Insurance market vendors are. The extreme indifference of Medicare Insurance Companies to the needs of their huge numbers of customers seems to be too often driven by the perverse practice of some unscrupulous vendors who let their employees run riot at their cheaper insurance plan departments in order to force customers to upgrade plans just to get acceptable levels of insurance service that does not suffer from so much built in delay and so many unnecessary errors and delays that it is practically useless in spite of being provided in a technically legal manner. Unfortunately, this Clinic reflects the grinding and punishing nature of the American Health System of which it is a part. My most recent Medicare Advantage Insurance with Drug Plan Coverage claim reimbursement problem was caused by the irresponsibility of my insurer's claim processing center employees, who its managers had allowed to continually collude with each other and repeatedly lie to cover up a mistake for an astonishingly long 90 days. The problem I encountered was that both Genesis and the Insurer inexplicably blamed each other for the problem, and both businesses adopted entrenched positions, with both parties claiming that they had already done as much as they could and both absolutely refusing to do any more work on the problem. The refusal of Genesis to refile the claims as the insurance carrier was wrongly insisting they must do to resolve the problem left me with Genesis billing me for the rest of the unreimbursed costs of my provider services appointments, which my insurance carrier hoped that I would effectively hide by simply paying my bill as requested. But the insurer claims processing people had lied to me one too many times and delayed so long in fixing the problem that Genesis's routine practice of refusing to engage in claims processing discussions with its customers created the false impression that Genesis, and not the insurance company, was obstructing the comoletion of my claims processing. The continuing standoff caused me to lose sleep night after night for 90 nights in a row and that almost forced me to adopt the erroneous position of the two lying, insurance carrier claims processing center representatives just to resolve the problem by forcing Genesis to go.on the record again about what was causing the delay. I had all but fired my Psychiatrist as a final resort when the logjam was duly cleared, forcing the two lying insurer claims processing rep's to admit their mistake. When that finally happened, the Genesis Insurance Claims Coordinator notified me that my insurance only covered my provider's services at the lowest Out of Service reimbursement rate because she was not in my medicare advantage plan insurance with drug coverage provider network. The importance of this crisis had escalated after multiple claims processing denials, but all of the claims processsing activity and denials generated a Tsunami of claims filings and Explanations of Benefits and made it extremely difficult to see each individual transaction among all of the clutter. The insurance carrier's confusing and erroneous verbal explanations of what had actually happened just compounded the confusion. Unfortunately, all of the confusion generated by this longstanding mistake obscured the real problem from my visibility. I had thought my service provider was In Network but she had actually always been Out of network. At least now I know how to try to avoid this problem next year."
"I see Dr. Halaris and he have helped me so much. The communication between me and my doctor is notable and very appreciative. I never have a problem getting an appointment when I need it. I would recommend him to anyone."
"Sending an informal certified letter that they can't see me and that my next appointment is canceled but not including any referrals that will actually help me is insensitive and lazy at best. We already did the intake and I was very open asking for help so we know what I need. I specifically said "if you can't hep me I would like referrals" At least consult with colleagues and find someone who can. The health department can't help me and Dr Van Byssum should know that after taking my history. I would like the referrals I asked for, not to be pushed off on the already overwhelmed health department"
"I have been a client at Genesis for over 22 years. I believe that outweighs any of these one-time reviewers. First, both the doctors I have seen are excellent. Next, a family member saw a nurse practitioner and another I recommended a doctor to was very pleased. Finally the office staff: Lynn, who was mentioned in one review, is the kindest woman. I’m sure whatever she was telling someone was with deep regret, but she does follow the policies of the office. These people are busy doctors. You miss an appointment you pay a fee. Standard policy at most doctor’s offices. As for the front and back office staff, they are top notch. They can be to the point but again, they are busy. If you treat them with the respect you want to be treated with you may be surprised some of them have gone over and beyond the call of duty for me with mix-ups with pharmacys. I can not express how pleased I have been with the different support staff through the years that works the front office and back office. Again, Lynn is one of the sweetest people I have encountered in the entire medical profession. I can’t say enough good things about the entire group at Genesis. Dr. Sharma is a wonderful doctor. And Dr Beck the NP is fantastic! I hope you will take the one star reviews with a grain a salt. Again, I have almost 23 years with ongoing care from Genesis. I wouldn’t be here if they weren’t the best. I moved away and still will drive 120 miles round trip for treatment from this clinic."
