"I will give 2 stars because the staff is still trying to do everything they can, but my dr was forced out because she was trying to do right for the patients. The staff here is burnt out with no direction from corporate. Advocate has failed their staff and failed their patients. The staff is scrambling trying everything they can yet corporate has tied their hands so they can't do anything. 6 providers left at once because of their decision to only use advocate hospitals among other reasons. 6 great providers left because of corporate greed. They care more about what's in their bank account than the patients and staff. I feel bad for the ones that work here because you can hear the exhaustion in their voice. Go back to good morals and ethics, not the greed. Staff is wonderful, advocate has just turned into a bad place to be. Staff and patients deserve better."
"If you have any chronic illness - go find a new provider. I’ve been on the same care for over ten years and because my Dr was forced out a new Dr has taken over my care and refuses to keep everything the same. Trying to force new drugs that can hinder my health?! Great advice Dr- but I’ll go find someone who cares about my health. Advocate Health used to be so amazing….what happened????"
"Love the doctors for Obgyn and Pediatrics! They’ve helped me with my pregnancies and taken time to listen and advise whenever I’ve had concerns or questions. The pediatrics side has been equally great. We’ve gone through illnesses, allergies, and bites with our kids and they’ve always received great care. They pass a parent’s scrutiny as well as my children’s. My kids don’t mind going to the doctor and are treated with respect whenever they are in the offices. The scheduling staff have always been kind and patient when I’ve tried to figure out appointment dates and times that are accommodating to our busy family schedule."
"Pediatrics - not impressed. My 8 month old daughter was misdiagnosed for a straight week. We were told her ear infection was clearing up and that she "just had a cold" and we had to simply "wait it out". She couldn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time at night, and was extremely congested and cried constantly for well over a month. We made several follow up appointments with both doctors and nurse practitioners. Finally, out of desperation, we got a second opinion at a WHOLISTIC doctor, who told us our daughter clearly had a bad ear infection again and needed a second round of stronger antibiotics. Just two days into the second round of meds, she is so much better. It's clear that she was in a lot of pain! While I don't condone the overuse of antibiotics, I think it speaks volumes that a wholistic doctor deemed them necessary when doctors at Dreyer just let my daughter suffer while she "waited it out". We have since left this practice for a new pediatrician."
"I scheduled an appointment yesterday through central scheduling for 5:30 pm.. Around 3pm that same day the office calls me and says I've been double booked so she schedules me for 3:30 pm which I agreed to because I need the appointment. Take note that I wanted 5:30 so it would not effect my work hours but I took 3:30 because I needed it. The earliest I was allowed to leave work on such short notice was 1 hour. I left work at 3 pm, I quickly gather my things and rush out the door as this office was 30 minutes away. I finally get here and I'm denied service? Due to my insurance? Could you not have called the insurance company before screwing me over and screwing my time management up? What kind of service is this? I'm sitting in the parking lot wondering where I went wrong. It is not my fault, it's your scheduling department and your offices. I even offered to pay out of my own pocket to be seen today! I can't believe I've been turned away like this. Your employees really need to get there procedures together. I am highly disappointed. Now I'm going to have to call various locations to see who can take me! Not to mention my hour of work I lost for a turn away, good bye full 40 hours!"
