Reviews of Victory Gardens Theater
"If you’ve watched Public Enemies, this iconic spot is where John Dillinger was shot. There was some memorabilia in the glass window in the alley as well!"
"We were here to attend a church service on a Sunday morning.parking was a challenge, as to be expected in this area. Walking a few blocks was worth it, as the service was fantastic. The theater was cozy, comfortable, and the acoustics were excellent. Even sitting in the back seat provides excellent view. Looking for a spirit filled church, this is a great one."
"The theater were John Dillinger got killed in front of it. If you go with a tour you will find out so much about his last night there. Right next to the theater is a big wall with a painting of Dillinger."
"This was part of a ghost tour with American Ghost Walks in Chicago. This ally was the location where John Dillinger was killed in a hail of bullets. They say that he comes out on the the anniversary of his death. This is next to the Biography Theater he had just left, which is now called the Victory Garden Theater. There is a really cool mural of him on the brick wall as well as some old pics in a window."
"I took my first trip to Victory Gardens Theater to see cullud wattah. If you are a theatergoer, I recommend you make time before July 17th to see this play. The theater leveraged the space and set design in bold ways. You will be delighted with your visit to this space."
