"I'm soo glad they have a location in the county now..In Silver Lake...updated facilities, with a great staff, a wonderful dentist i have seen her now twice. very professional and gentle, I feel lucky to have such great Dentistry so near."
"Abigail and Dr Lim are amazing! They took wonderful care of my little brother . They were very kind! and made sure he knew what they were about to do."
"I have been going to KCHC in Silver Lake for several years now (after having been placed on Medicaid). It's been extremely helpful, as it's one of the closest dental locations that take Medicaid. The Assistant who often sees me is Amanda, and she's always pleasant and fun to talk with. Between her and Dr. Lim, I always feel that my concerns are appropriately addressed and they are receptive to my feedback. Although I know my dental hygiene is lacking, Dr. Lim always does an excellent job and goes above and beyond to ensure the quality of her work. They have recently upgraded their system (early 2023, I believe) and now are using an internal system that is based off of EPIC, a prominent medical record keeping software company. As with transition/change, there are some growing pains; but they constantly are improving: learning the ins and outs of the new system, and I feel that they have grown their capabilities of providing services, due to their decision to change internal systems. Early in my treatment, I had a root canal. Although my Medicaid HMO (Anthem Blue Cross, at that time) had provided me with letters regarding rejection of covering the services rendered, the staff at KCHC addressed the issues and no uncovered costs were passed along to me. [These cost were not exclusive to KCHC, but also regarding the Dental Surgeon who I had been given a referral: for the actual operation; The KCHC staff took care of all of Anthem's pushback regarding coverage both internal and external to their Silver Lake location.] They, KCHC, likely have to fight with such rejected insurance coverage claims; So much so, that they knowingly have insurance specialists who focus on pushing back against the Medicaid providers, 'going to bat' on behalf of the patients. It's nice to know that they have that desire and intent. Between poor dental coverage and necessary changes for other health services, I did change from Anthem to Chorus (Children's Community Health Care), as my current HMO. It's been nothing but smooth sailing after that change. I think it's appropriate and necessary to acknowledge that KCHC is a non-profit organization for medical, dental, and behavioral health services. It's nice to know that coverage is available for those who would struggle to afford such care at alternative facilities, such as myself, based on my current circumstances. Overall, I'm very glad to have ever have started as a patient. I will be continuing as a patient of theirs for the foreseeable future. It's awesome to see the steps they've taken to continually seek improvements to the services they provide."
"Amanda and Abby are amazing dental staff. They are both very professional and great at making the patient feel relaxed and valid. Amazing ladies who take their job seriously while relaxing the patient. Great job all around for these two dental duos."
"I'm very happy with Dr Lim, her assistants, and the hygienist at KCHC Salem. Dr Lim has the sort of personality that makes me at ease and relaxed. It's a pleasure to see how well she works with her two assistants that I've seen so far. She's patient enough to do a great job and answer my questions. Impressed, too, by her skills in doing such good work that doesn't leave my mouth sore afterwards. She's definitely one of my favorite dentists, ever!"
