"visited dr collins for a sting on my thumb. it was very painful and i asked for some pain meds. he told me he could prescribe norco. wow! i told him i had had a bad reaction to that and asked if there wasn't something a little less powerful and he told me NO. there was nothing else he could prescribe for pain. i told him i tended to have a problem w drugs and usually needed about half of what is regularly prescribed so he gave me prednisone....THE HIGHEST DOSE POSSIBLE and when i had really bad headaches, i called the pharmacy and learned there were much smaller doses possible. so i called the urgent care center and a dr told me to stop the prescription and could not figure out why i was given such a high dose. another dr i saw later said the same thing. he mentioned that 10mg or 20mg would have been just fine. so...i guess he did not listen to anything i said, or did not believe me (i am a woman), or just does not know his job after all, he did not know of any other meds besides norco for pain. so, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!"
