Reviews of Hanger Clinic: Prosthetics & Orthotics
"I could not fit into the brand new brace due to the wrong measurement at first but Mr. Seth Sevenich, CPO, totally redesigned my brace and made it work! Not only did he correct the size but he added many details in my AFO that I no longer feel pain while wearing my brace!! I am very thankful to Mr. Seth Sevenich as I have never worn a brace that has cushions so comfortable like that since I start wearing the AFOs. I have so many painful calluses and bruises because of my old AFOs but now my left foot can really move because it's no longer in pain. Thank you so much, Mr. Seth! Hanger Clinic is really blessed to have you!"
"Extremely poor service, follow up it takes many months to get the correct custom orthotics. It took almost a year to get my orthotics and still those are not made right. Scott the manager is very unprofessional, rude and obnoxious and refuses to remake the short pair of orthotics and asked me to cut loose and go somewhere else when I lost my yearly benefits to go somewhere else as year ends. Please don’t use this facility as you will face nothing but troubles as manager Scott is incompetent and lacks knowledge acts strangely. Such a useless person is not capable to take care of the people and make orthotics wrong causing discomfort and refused to correct the problem. What a shame. Never again to this place again in Aurora.its a long story het into details, I gave up on this facility in my frustration and disappointment as not only mine orthotics for my wife are also made wrong without the hard plastic shell. Just foamy orthotics when explained to tech that hard plastic shell must be inserted but again Scott refused to discuss about her orthotics. Save your time and money and never go to this facto deal with this difficult and senseless manager."
"The front office staff was very unprofessional. I arrived for my sons appointment and the lady behind the window states we are there to get “measured”. I explained to her that that is not the situation. We have already been there and we are just there to pick up orthotics. She then has me have a seat and 8 minutes later, another lady calls me to the window and says that we cannot take the orthotics today because my referral was incorrect. Mind you we were there a month ago. So she had a whole month to call me and tell me that the referral was incorrect so that I could get a correct one. So I tell her she can cancel my appointment and we will just come back when they have everything in order. In a very condescending voice she tells me that we need to stay and see if they fit and then take them off leave them there and they’ll call us to let us know when when they have the correct referral. I immediately called my doctor’s office had a referral faxed immediately. It is now 3 days later and I have been calling the office every day and all they do is put me on hold and then hang up."
"Well, where do I begin.. I had a horrible experience. Brian was the one who measured me for my insoles at the Aurora location. This part was OK. I had to come back in a couple of weeks as my insoles had to be made. I never got a courtesy call to let me know that I had to bring any certain shoes, or to even let me know what the whole process was going to be like when I come in and pick up my insoles, or to even and let me know that my shoes to be destroyed. This is my first time ever doing this. I am not familiar with any of their protocols. So when I came to pick up my insoles, Brian came in the room, took my shoes and told me he would be right back. Not even explaining anything about what he was going to do or what was about to happen. Again, I've never been here before. I don't know how they do things here. So communication is clearly a problem here between the employee and client. When Brian comes back, I see that he has my original insoles, (from my newly bought OOFOS, which he completely tore out of my gym shoes) in a clear bag. He replaced my original thick insoles with the super thin custom insoles that were ordered for me. He told me to try on the shoes. I did, however, my feet were swimming in the shoes, because the original thick insoles had been replaced with a flimsy thin custom insole Brian put in my gym shoes!!! Brian did not ask for me to try the custom insoles inside of my shoe to see if I liked it that way. He took it upon himself to take my brand new shoes and forcefully rip out my insoles. When I confronted him about it, he wanted to help the situation by telling me he could simply glue them back on. This doesn't FIX ANYTHING, the damage was done . He also was blaming me l. the client, by telling me that he told me he was taking my shoes back. That is all he told me. Once again, I did not get an explanation as to what he was going to do with my shoes. If I knew that he was going rip out my insoles from my brand new shoes, I would've told him NO!! Needless to say, I left work early for this. I left Hanger Clinic with my shoes destroyed, which I was blamed for, and without my custom ordered insoles, which they still wanted me to pay for them after all my distress. Veronica, their manager, called me and asked me about the situation. I told her, and after arguing with her as well, she said that she would give me a gift card for my shoes to replace them as it was their fault they were damaged. I asked her if they would be able to also allow me to keep the custom insoles they had ordered for me due to all the stress and inconvenience they put me through. She said they could not do that. I think Veronica could've handled it better. But clearly the CLIENT is wrong, And they like to blame the clients for their mistakes. I'm calling them out right now for being so unprofessional in the way they handled this issue, especially with it is the Clients who are the victims. The employees here need more training on customer service, their communication skills, especially towards their clients regarding appointments; what to expect and any other issues that may arise. They need to know how to handle it more professionally. I highly do not recommend Hanger clinic."
"My surgeon had me go here for therapeutic stockings before surgery. I came to this location because, due to having HMO insurance, this was the only Hanger Clinic that accepts it. I honestly had an EXTREMELY pleasant experience. The staff was very nice and helpful. Everyone was organized and I honestly smiled and laughed a bunch. Tina was professional, informative, and very knowledgeable. Answered questions for me I didn't even know to ask. And told me everything I need to know to be comfortable with the product. I was in an out in less than an hour and no wait! Keep this vibe up, it's great!"
