"My son who is now eight has been coming to this dojo for one year. Before choosing, we’ve tried out a class, in almost every existing studio in the Kuykendahl/Louetta Spring area. We need it down to two, but ultimately Ultimate Warrior because I came highly recommended by a trusted friend, and I agreed with the methodology of its owner Jake and his staff. They are firm and nurturing, disciplined, yet still fun. Other successful places in the area wasn’t a great fit as they felt more industrial and performed for appearances than what I had in mind. I ultimately chose ultimate warrior for my son, because he has fun while learning to protect himself at a very natural pace. Further, because my son is clumsy… They also work on “how to” fall effectively. After just one of these classes, my son was riding horse riding and was bucked off the rear from about 6 foot off the ground. As he fell, he automatically went into a forward fall position and saved his face and glasses from hitting the ground. Needless to say, after seeing this, I am sold that the methods taught here are effective and strategies used for learning these skills are something that kids can relate to easily. An added bonus is that Jake must have a radar that draws in good people. All the parents I’ve met here have been really kind and so are the students and coaches."

"As my wife previously reviewed above, we love Ultimate Warrior for our son. I am, honestly, not the type of guy who ever leaves reviews. But, even though I knew my wife already had, I still thought it was important to leave my own review because Ultimate Warrior Martial Arts deserves to have others know what a fantastic family they are. Notice that I didn't say "business" because it really does feel like a community there. I have seen Jake, the owner and operator, go out of his way many times to help kids (and sometimes adults) reach the goal they've set for themselves. He gives everything he has to make Ultimate Warrior the best it can be mentally, physically and emotionally. Don't get me wrong, when it is time to work, IT IS TIME TO WORK. I can promise you won't feel like you or your child didn't get your money's worth out of a session. My son comes home from every class dripping with sweat, and a smile on his face to tell me about how much fun he had and what he learned that day. If you want a place that will teach your child respect, safety, conditioning, self-defense, and just plain good decision making, this is the place for you. It has been for us for years and we have no plans of going anywhere, anytime soon."

"My daughter has been in this school for about 7 years now. She's always been a very quiet, to herself, introverted kind of kid. So, naturally she was an easy target for bullies at school. Well, one day when confronted with a bullying situation, my daughter was able to defend herself to the fullest, and that wouldn't have been possible without Jake and his team. I even put my youngest daughter in there soon after. It's important for our kids to be able to be able to defend themselves. Also, I am I single parent and this being such a family oriented place, I feel 1000% comfortable leaving both of my girls here so I can get an errand or two knocked out... "Our son, Will, joined Ultimate Warrior in 2021. The coaches were extremely welcoming, and we immediately felt like family. Additionally, the coaches are highly skilled and experienced martial artists themselves. They run tough classes, at a pace that challenges the class without discouraging them. There’s a real finesse to that, and the coaches at UW are impressively good at it. Belt test days (and the following potlucks) are a real opportunity to see the incredible work these coaches do with students of all ages and abilities. The potlucks and social events really show that UW wants to be part of our local community. From potlucks to parents nights out to holiday parties … they always try to find time for fun, not only to reward their hard-working students, but to build bonds among them as well.
