"Karl Geis Ryu is an excellent school for Tomiki Aikido, Judo & Jodo. Karl Geis had an amazing pedigree of training in Japan from the 50's & 60's. Far too much to list here. Kenji Tomiki was one of Jigoro Kano's first students of Judo. Read that again. Tomiki was one of the first students of Judo taught by its founder. Tomiki also studied Aikido from its founder. Karl knew Tomiki personally and collaborated with him over the years to refine his Aikido in the United States. The instructors at Karl Geis Ryu are direct students of Geis and studied with him for 30+ years. The level of training & experience is unmatched by any other martial arts school in Houston or Texas for the matter. These guys are the real deal with a great training facility and they are all about the safe practice of their martial arts."

"It's not the longest surviving judo/aikido dojo for nothing. Best ego free dojo in the city. The Geis legacy lives on and a man of honor never trashes another man's dojo. It's perfidious douchebaggery of the lowest degree and the douchebag who says we sell belts is from a competitor's school who couldn't cut it here. Obviously you can make groundless accusations without any basis except your failures. Karl Geis has taken the art of judo, made it uke driven and employed the maximum-results-with -minimum-efforts effect with profound results. Pure technique, because power and speed eventually fail with time, where technique only gets better."
