"Great school and a very dedicated master and teaching staff. Master Rick and his assistants keeps the students very focused and the classes are high intensity. I have seen huge improvement in my son physically, mentally and in discipline ever since he started here. Would very strongly recommend"
"My daughter has been going to master Rick’s class for 6 years and is great with kids, we like the care and dedication he puts into every class and the values he teaches to the children."
"We've started both kids at Master Rick's Talium Taekwondo. We've been parents and students since 2016-2017. Our oldest started when she was 4 years old and got her black belt. Our oldest started when he was 5. Master Rick has a great way of working with kids and creating an inclusive environment where every child, regardless of their athletic abilities, can develop their full potential. It also a great place where discipline, self control, self reliance, and confidence are instilled. As an older adult, I was inspired to start training in the adult classes held on evenings and Saturdays. After several years and some interruptions (Harvey, COVID etc.), I earned my black belt last year. The school has had some personnel changes over the years but the one constant is Master Rick. Master Rick's positive demeanor, patience and breadth of Taekwondo knowledge are matched only by his expectation that each student work to the best of their ability to fulfill their martial arts journey."
"Master Rick is very good and knows how to deal with children, takes great care and keeps the classes fun, is only boring when he let's the younger instructor Victor take the class because he has a very different energy than Master Rick, too slow and unmotivated."
"Awesome Teacher and great classes!!! Love it. My husband and I joined Master Rick’s Talium about a month ago and we absolutely love it. In this short period I have seen positive changes in my overall health and I am really grateful. Now it has become a part of our routine. Master Rick’s classes are so much fun. He motivates every student to become better and stronger in every class. Sometimes, instructors from other Talium schools come to the Houston Talium to teach and demonstrate – the demonstrations are surely remarkable and inspirational. The adults class is at 7 PM every day. When we arrive at the class, sometimes if the previous class is still going on, you get to see kids (all ages) learning Taekwondo – being energetic and focused and having fun. Master Rick is really good with kids. His classes are not just about kicking and punching, but education of the mind as well. He also teaches the kids to be more disciplined and respectful to everybody. I am sure all the parents of those kids are really glad to have found a teacher like Master Rick. I would highly recommend anybody (no age bar) who wants to learn Taekwondo to join Master Rick’s Talium. It is never too late to become a student of Taekwondo."
