Reviews
"The facility isn't super new and modern but the receptionist was very sweet and they got me in very quickly. I was seen and released in under an hour. I paid cash for the visit because my insurance applies urgent care visits toward my deductible but I received a check in the mail a couple months after my visit saying my insurance paid the balance I had initially paid up front. I was impressed by this because in my experience it normally takes clinics years to balance their books and issue refunds. 10/10 experience."
"I really don’t expect receptionists to be overly kind or warm to me, but being passive aggressive and rolling your eyes when someone explains symptoms is pretty lame. You really have no idea what people are going through, and it takes 5 minutes out of your day to sign them in. This was the first time I’ve left a walk in clinic due to feeling uncomfortable & won’t be returning."
"I had blood work done this morning and I always dread it because I am a hard stick. They always take blood from my hand. But Alex C. was able to take blood from my arm without a problem on the first stick. She deserves a raise. Thank you Alex C. Margaret L"
"Pros: 1.The podiatrist was quite kind and the procedure to remove a full toenail went quite fast and completely painless besides the shots to numb the toe. 2. He estimated it would take 10 minutes but merely took 3ish for the operation itself. As soon as the bandaging was placed, the appointment was over. 3. The do accept medical card, which is nice since it is my only option atm. Cons: 1. its been impossible to get in contact via phone, its all robotics, takes a few minutes until it seems like you'll get ahold of someone only for it to go to voice-mail, which I never got a call back after leaving my info. 2. Was told didnt need a doctors note and would be able to wear normal shoes 2days after surgery and work like normal on my feet. Which ended up being incorrect in my case due to discomfort and caused infection to set in due to shoe causing the bandage to move around on the wound when walking, didnt plan enough days off work due to following advice given nor be able to give it the rest it needed. 3. wasnt provided any follow up bandaging for when I would have to remove the initial bandaging placed after surgery the next day, or told I would have to have said items before procedure took place. Immediately after having toenail removed had to walk into stores to find bandaging necessary for the next day, and Epson Salt to soak it. It would be nice to be told in advance items will be needed for post care before taking off a toenail and that they will not be provided by the clinic. 4. Not technically a part of the review but a warning to those about to have a full toenail removed themselves. The gauze they used will be stuck to the wound. Its awful. Soak it in the Epson salt foot bath and gently move your foot around until it comes off itself after 10-20 minutes. They dont tell you this and its in my opinion, the worst part of the experience because it does hurt. General Summary: The doctor was great, the procedure was swift and painless. The lack of information given was a bit critical. It can cause some aftermath because of inability to call to get the lacking information."
"So I called the West Frankfort walk-in clinic to confirm their hours. They were trying to decide what time to take off...which made me realize they weren't going to be open based on the hours shown on the website. But the lady on the phone said they would be there until 3 p.m. today (July 2, 2021). I got cleaned up and drove my sick self up there only to be told that the staff had a rough morning so they decided to go to lunch until around 1:30 p.m. Seriously!?!?! I wouldn't go back there if I was dying...no that they'd care anyway?!?!?"
