"I contacted this group because they were suggested by my insurance and psychology today. The intake was done through zoom fairly quickly and my appointments were set up biweekly. 2 months later and I still had not seen a counselor. I had to cancel once due to work . However, every other time the counselor or the office would call me to cancel because she was sick. I finally wound up getting sick of it and went somewhere else. This place was a waste of my time."

"They are terrible to get ahold of and will not call you back until days after you have called them. Will cancel on you 10 minutes before the appointment. My first appointment they put me with someone who could not help me whatsoever and had to wait yet another month for a person who could actually help. I got cancelled on once again Today and that makes the 10th time this year. I have only been with them for about 5 months and have been seen twice because of cancelations. Both appointments I had with them they were at least 20 min late if not 40 min late."

"I would never go to therapy center that did not have a website. Nor would I see a therapist who thinks doing search engime optimization that links them to a Psychology Today article is acceptable. This place is a.sham. Will be reporting them to The National Suicide Hotline, as they have no abilty to deal with people in a crisis situation. Hell, they don't even have a website. RED FLAG!"

"I would not trust any of their talks of sliding scales or affordability. If you do apply for their sliding scale 1) make sure that you know the "intake" appointment will be a couple hundred dollars and 2) make sure that you get the price in writing before starting any sessions with them. I was told when I started therapy through them that my appointments would be $75 each and now they are trying to charge me $255 per appointment. I have had two meetings over the phone with the director to discuss this and both times I have received no call. There is no way to contact anybody from Thrive directly unless you go to their Vandalia office and demand to speak to somebody. Their phone number only leads to a phone answering service and the only thing they can do is leave messages for the people at Thrive which often go ignored. I would not go here unless this was your last option. Edit: It was easier to get the owner to respond to this review than it is to get in touch with them to actually discuss a bill not over google."

"Had intake zoom appointment for my son a few months ago, thought everything would be great. A month later, never heard anything. I had to change these people down for 2 days to get the next appointment scheduled. The day of the appointment comes, and someone calls me 30min before to cancel because of an “emergency” and they can’t get my son in for another month. Ok, I get it, emergencies happen, but THEN I called the afternoon before my next appointment to confirm, receptionist says confirmed. Literally 2 hours later they call me to cancel AGAIN because the counselor/psych/whoever “had an emergency come up and can’t see you tomorrow. Maybe we can get you in next week.” No thanks, I’m done."
