"Make SURE to ask for your prescription before leaving. They WILL NOT give it to you unless you demand it. This is a blatant violation of the 1978 Eyeglass Rule which is enforced by the FTC. I filed a complaint against them. I'll be going to the BBB and ICC next."
"I used to go here years ago, but will definitely find somewhere else. The setting didn’t seem very professional (you can hear workers complaining about each other in the lobby, fyi). A VR headset did most of my eye exam, and it felt like the lady putting drops in my eyes was shooting at me with a squirt gun that kept missing one eye. It was very uncomfortable. In the past, the doctor always reviewed my eye scans with me, and I was told it would be $35 for him to do that (but required for them to take the scans anyways). I’ve never encountered this anywhere I went. Dr. Johnson did give me sample eye drops for dry eyes, and when I got home, saw that they were already expired samples. At the front desk, I did have questions about Medicaid, and was told the person who usually handles it was on vacation, so I couldn’t get my questions answered. This eye clinic has severely declined in quality since my family went."
"Poor service, treated poorly! Bought two pair of glasses, took my money and didn’t appreciate it. Ungrateful! It won’t be necessary to come and talk to you because the same consensus is all over town. I called because I had floaters. At my 1 o’clock appointment Dr. Kirby had someone named Jean and he went to lunch. She put some dilation drops in my eyes as Dr. Kirby directed her, and then she direct started to do an eye exam, which was very unusual. Dr. Kirby came back from lunch and talked to me about my floaters because Jean had also took pictures of my eyes through a machine. after I went home I had a burning sensation and they were not concerned that either ,when I called them and told them I had an allergic reaction that it should be put on my file. The female I talked to asked me what the medication was and I told her I’m sure it’s on my record. Talk to Dr. Kirby and report this. Didn’t seem concerned about it at all. I wanted to know what to do for it. Never got a call back. I have done nothing inappropriate in your office at any time. But I don’t have time for this nonsense. I will seek another doctor. I don’t know what has become of our health industry where they are no longer professional, and lots of games going on especially -ones if you are not welcome and they want you to leave so I will leave."
"Macey(Hillsboro site)is very sweet/courteous. Dr. Sawyer is amazing. Perhaps Macey could provide training to the rude personnel at Greenville/Litchfield sites."
"I've been using Family eye care for several years. I called them on a Friday, my eye was really sore watering I asked if they could fit me in and they did. I showed up they took me in right away . The assistant I'm sorry I didnt catch her name was great. Dr. Sawyer saw me and diagnosed me and treated me very quickly. The whole staff is nice . But here is the KICKER. Dr. Sawyer in iny opinion is a true example of a true Dr. . He on a Saturday, they are closed on Saturday. Call me up to check on me. That is so nice of him to do. Not just that this man also gave me a number to get ahold of him if my eye got worse . This to me is a customer service, ( patient Dr. ) example everyone would appreciate. Not to mention my eye felt great Saturday morning when I woke up . THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. SAWYER AND STAFF.. Rich Watson"
