"Be sure to negotiate what your hour-long lesson entails. The majority the time was spent filling out paperwork before the lesson and washing and grooming the horse after the lesson. Actual ride time was probably only 15 minutes. Otherwise decent."

"Wouldn't recommend. The trainer is very young herself and isn't equipped to work with young children, just overall lacking in patience and doesn't have experience under her belt. My 9 year old son came out of his second lesson fighting tears... he was so discouraged by the trainer. Also, the trainer doesn't manage her time very well which leads to almost a full hour of grooming the horse and maybe 5-10 minutes of riding time, if you're lucky."

"My first lesson was so much fun and I am excited to continue. They are super understanding and accommodating. My trainer showed me how to groom , saddle then ride in my first lesson. She made sure to show me the proper way to ride and then made sure I was comfortable before having me turn or trot with the horse. My schedule only allows for evenings, but they were super accommodating to make sure I am able to continue and not have it affect my work. Love this place!"

"Although, I brought my horse home for retirement, It's has been a few years since I boarded at Hillcrest, but what a great experience at Hillcrest Farm. Horse Care is excellent, Top level H/J Instruction and a wonderful and fun riding environment at both the Farm and Shows. Footing was great, turnout dependable and a Very approachable Team to work with you & your horse."
